Long story short: This pillow is 1000% worth the money, is soft but supportive, and will give you a good nights sleep. I have had it for 1 year now and it is still just as comfortable as the day I got it. I am someone who is extremely picky with my pillows, I’m talking if I’m staying just 1 night anywhere other than home my pillow is coming with me, and this pillow is IT. My mom had a pillow for years that I loved and it got passed on to me when she got a new one. It had to have gotten 20 years of use, and I knew it was time for a new one, but the tag was completely worn off. I tried and returned pillow after pillow looking for the one until the only thing I could think to do was search for “yellow sponge pillow material”. When I came across the latex pillow I knew that was it and was willing to pay whatever it took to get my hands on one. I do not regret spending $100 on a pillow AT ALL. It is worth it for the amount of comfort this pillow gives me as someone who rotates through every sleeping position throughout the night. I have been on the search for a very comfortable, yet supportive pillow for the past at least twenty-five years! First I purchased two Northern Nights machine washable down pillows which were good for many years, but I didn't like being poked with feathers every once in a while! =/ Then I purchased two different Beautyrest pillows, one being a memoryfoam which was definitely soft, but did not provide any support whatsoever! The other was very comfortable for at least a year, but went flat. Maybe two years ago I also purchased a Mainstay brand quilted pillow from Walmart. Even though it was quite comfortable for at least a year or so, eventually that one went rather flat and I had been tossing and turning for the past at least six months! After recently purchasing Organic Textiles 3" Soft Latex Mattress Topper and finding it extremely comfortable and supportive, I decided to save up and purchase their Talalay Latex Pillow that comes with a 100% organic cotton hidden zippered cover when it was 15% off a couple of weeks ago! Even though it was the most expensive pillow that I have ever purchased, it was totally worth the price that I paid!! When it arrived, it did have a latex smell to it, but after laying it out on my dining room table in front of my window for almost six days, there was no detectable smell at all! I slept on it that night (which was last night at the time that I am writing this review), and I can honestly say that I had the best night's sleep on my Organic Textiles Talalay Latex Pillow that I have had in a VERY loooong time!! I like to sleep on my side and this Talalay Latex Pillow surrounded my head with cushiony comfort! It works quite well if you sleep on your back, too! I used to always sleep on my stomach, but no longer do, so I can't speak to how comfortable this pillow is for all of you stomach sleepers out there. I have bought and returned SO many pillows this past year. As a side sleeper I need support, but most "side sleeper" pillows were actually too tall or hard for me. This king-sized "soft" latex pillow from Organic Textiles seems perfect. On my side or back (I'm a bit of a combo sleeper), my head stays aligned with my neck -- not pushed up OR sinking through to the mattress. And I love, love, love that I never need to fluff this pillow. As a solid piece of latex, it's always nice and even. Note to shoppers: I started off with the soft regular-sized pillow but ended up just buying the king size because it's about an inch taller, which really made it perfect for a side sleeper like me. I received my new pillow and I tried it out the first night. I love the soft because it’s the perfect soft not hard not overly soft just enough to rest your head and give you the best sleep ever. I want to buy the medium firmness next time. This one's firmness is a bit too soft for me, but aside from that I still love it!! It cradles my head and supports it unlike any filler-filled or goose down pillow. It's a solid/molded piece of latex, not chopped up in bits with added other filler materials. I don't have to constantly "fluff it up", it keeps its shape...so far at least. I literally smile to myself when I lay down on it because it makes my head feel absolutely weightless. It's like the old pillows I had growing up that were foam rubber, only this is certified organic latex. No off-gassing of toxic fumes to breathe in while we sleep, provided what they claim is truly 100% organic latex. I'm buying another one for my son and my husband!! Read more
