I like white towels. I like them for everything except taking off makeup. Even with bleach it is sometimes hard to get waterproof mascara out of the fabric of a white towel. These black cloths come to the rescue! They are soft and do exactly what I need them to do. I like the idea of these, but the black (microfiber terry?) cloth picks up lint like nothing I've ever seen and the accumulated lint is almost impossible to pick off. They seem especially fond of light-colored lint, which makes them look awful; thus, the 3-stars. The one I use is very linty; however, I’m trying very hard to be careful to wash the ones for the guest bath with only black/dark items. The size is perfect and they are very soft.
