I ordered this coat as a gift to myself for Christmas. It is fantastic. It’s VERY warm and I’m so glad I chose one that has extensive length and goes to about mid-thigh. I can’t say enough good things about the coat so suffice it to say it does everything it’s supposed to do and it does it in style. Now there are somewhat negative points about the coat but they are minor but I’ll still address them. 1. About a month into wearing the coat, the seams of the the inner sleeves at the wrist which hold the cuff in place ripped and the sleeves pull up my arm away from the cuffs when I put on the coat now. This is not a huge deal as I only have to smooth the sleeve back down my arm and everything is right back in place. 2. I’ve always found the zipper on men’s coats to be on the right side of the zip, but on this coat (and a couple of others I’ve bought in the last few years) the part of the zipper which actually moves up and down is on the left side which seems odd at first and took a little getting used to but as I said this ain’t my first rodeo and life is about adaptation. Other than these two points, I love this coat which is not weighty at all but is as warm as a weighty coat. The low profile hood (I forgot how it was described when I bought the coat) is really nice and stays out of the way when I’m not using it but when it snowed this year and when it’s rained a few times, that hood sure came in handy. And if I step out for some fresh air, the hood is handy again to keep my ears warm and cozy even as the cold winds are blowing. I also bought one of these for my mother - a lady of some 80 years of life experience - and she has commented on how she loves her coat on two occasions when I called to see how she was doing. And she NEVER commented on a gift before once she received it. She asked me where I got it as she wanted to get one for each of my siblings. So yeah, if you want total perfection , you may be disappointed in this coat. When I heard the tear of those sleeve seams I sure had a moment where I was concerned - but fortunately, it was the coat and not my pants that ripped and it was only the sleeves and the thing is still perfectly wearable and serves its purpose with nobody ever seeing a tear. So for spending $100 for a nice coat that I can wear to work or church or just put to have a walk in the country, I’d say I got a good deal and when you get a good deal, you just can’t complain. So I love my coat Ana’s thank you very much for it. Read more

Very pleased with this purchase! Fit: I purchased the Large size jacket and I am 6'4", 210lb. The coat fits great...the sleeves are long enough (often an issue), the shoulders wide enough and the length is just above the knees. The zippers are robust and the ability to have the coat fully zipped up while zipping up from the bottom with a second zipper so that you can sit down comfortably was great. We walked around London and Cologne in January and I never got cold, so this jacket is pretty warm too. The hood is big enough and comes forward far enough when it's up to keep the rain off your face and cover a scarf and hat if need be. Tons of pockets, including an internal one for security. Overall, I see why everyone loves this coat! Read more

This is a little thinner than I was expecting, and the outer shell isn't as tough as I was expecting. I had previously purchased an Orolay "Men's Warm Parka Jacket Anorak Winter Coat with Detachable Hood" and that was what my expectations were based on. It's tougher all around, and plenty thick and warm. But this guy is mighty long, and that provides warmth of its own. And it's finished off nicely. I'm keeping it. Good enough for southern California. There's a couple of things I just wish it had; 1. more down 2. A storm flap over the zipper. That's a clue this isn't designed for the Iditarod. 3. A draw string at the waist. I just like the look you can get from it 4. handwarmer pockets. Of course there are plenty of pockets and they're nice-sized. But nothing to really keep your hands warm Still it will have its uses. Just not on the Iditarod. For that, look for a longer "Men's Warm Parka Jacket Anorak Winter Coat with Detachable Hood," which is what I was hoping for. Read more

Bought this for my husband. He's 6'5", about 240 lbs. length is always an issue is the jacket isn't specifically made in tall. This jacket fits him great! We bought the XXL based on a few reviews. Jacket hits below his butt and arm length is great. He loves the pockets- TONS of room! He also enjoys how light the jacket is without compromising warmth. HIGH RECOMMEND. Will be ordering another one as a back up since we've been having such a hard time finding a decent priced jacket that's actually great quality. Read more

This is a handsome jacket, however, it has not been tested in cold weather. Considering that it is filled with genuine duck down, I am sure that it will be great when it gets cold. Read more

Poor fit. Way too large for me. Insulation layer was incredibly thin. Read more
