My son has been wearing SMOs (orthotics) since he was 2.5 years old. Now he is 9. With his growth and strength improved, he has graduated to a foot orthotic. Insurance would not cover it. An orthotist wanted to charge over $400. This is EXACTLY what my son needs and is giving him the support he needs! Read more

My twin sons pronate really badly on one foot and their physical therapist ordered orthotic insoles for their shoes to help correct that. Those insoles cost $60 each for growing 5 year-old kids! Needless to say, they outgrew those within a few months and I was left with the decision to drop another $120 or find an alternative. I gave these a try and they were very similar in fit and support to the expensive insoles and they're working just fine to help straighten their step. For anyone who has not tried these before, you really need to remove any existing padding/insoles that come inside the shoes and you really need to have these when you try on/buy the shoes because you'll likely want to size up a little to compensate for less space in the shoe. Your kid is very likely to complain or not like how it feels at first, but both my kids adjust after a day or two and are fine. I did feel they were a little small, as I ordered the 13.5-2 size and did not need to trim off any excess inside his size 13.5 shoes. I would also guess they do run slightly narrow because the width works well in their Vans shoes that are more narrow than their Asics running shoes that are wider. Read more

The arch support on these is significant. Great for my son with flat feet. We will see since he's just worn them once for now. Read more

My daughter uses these in her tennis shoes to help with her flat footedness, and they work so great. It takes a few days to get used to them, but they're definitely worth the cost and very effective for helping flat foot diagnosis. Read more

Our daughter has very high arches (gets them from me) and we realized as she gets older, she needs more support than the average shoe offers her. I ordered these and was very pleased to see they are of high quality. They keep her feet properly aligned and her ankles don't roll in. Hoping to avoid knee and hip trouble later on by utilizing these. Thanks for a great product. Read more

If you don't have a high arch, these are not for you. My kid only has an arch when he stands on his tip toes. These were recommended from his orthopedic however. It was a bit uncomfortable for my kid when he put them in his shoes as it made his shoes smaller too Read more
