This is a good idea for a child I would say 1 year old not 6 months. Definitely well made and quality design. Used this for my 2 year old nephew who just opened it to sit down and play. ( Wanted no part of being held in one place ) I feel the cost is a little high for a item you don't need. Overall great idea but for me personally I would not find this safe enough. This is just not a practical item In my opinion. If a child can't stand then they are to young to sit, once they can stand they will be all over like my nephew was. I like the stool but it can easily slip in the bath. I gave 3 stars based on quality just not practical. Read more

I got this for my 2 year old who no longer wants to sit in a bath tub for clean up time. She can stand but in the bath tub, I always worry that she would slip and fall accidentally if she takes 1 wrong step. So I got this to help support her during our shower time together. And this has been such a life saver. Now I can wash her with both hands with a peace of mind. The height is easily adjustable and we have been able to adjust it to fit her perfectly and comfortably. The non slip bottom of the stand works great and provides the level of safety we are looking for in a baby shower item. The foldable chair is such a great bonus as well. She sometimes wants to use it in the shower but we find ourselves using it more outside the tub, as a step stool for the bathroom sink. We do not have a tub in our 2 bed apartment. In fact, we have a small corner shower that barely fits our babies "bath tub" and we end up spilling water on the floor trying to dump it out. Now that our toddler is working on walking and great at standing, we invested in this neat little support. She sits on a small shower stool and this keeps her upright so our hands are free to use our shower head hose attachment and wash her at the same time. Overall, great to have when showering and prevent falls for babies and toddlers with special needs. Even thought this is made of plastic, it is more sturdy than expected. Very strong and stable, which was a concern prior to receiving the item. When it comes to performance, it didn't work out for us. Our baby seemed intimidated by it and wants no part of being held/supported by this. It ends up being just as difficult to shower our toddler with it, as it is without it. It is also a pretty bulky device, so if space is an issue, this is going to be obstructive to every day life.
