I have always liked Aviator-style sunglasses. I still have the pair of American Optical (AO) aviator’s glasses issued to me at Fort Rucker in 1977. They have the standard straight temples and neutral gray lenses for better color rendition. They live in their case in a place of honor in my gun safe. Today, I have Aviators from Ray-Ban and now these stylish and upscale glasses from OSAGAMA. I like wearing these large-frame aviator’s because they look terrific and I also appreciate how they combine style with serious sun protection. The lenses have UV400 Protection allowing me to be confident under the harshest sun. These sunglasses effectively block both UVA and UVB rays, shielding my eyes from potential damage and keeping them safe in all daylight conditions. My eyes stay comfortable even on the brightest days. I spend a lot of time outdoors, and out on the water, and these sunglasses help me avoid squinting or needing to “shade” my eyes. The oversized design gives me full coverage, including from below where reflected light bouncing UP from water can defeat smaller lenses. The metal temples and their detailing adds an upscale polish, and these glasses draw compliments and questions almost every time I wear them. They are sturdy in the hand and substantial on your face without being heavy or obtrusive. I know I can transport them in my bag without worrying about damage, but they arrived in a hard case and also came with a soft pouch and a cleaning cloth for daily use. I added a Croakies © retainer allowing the glasses to hang around my neck as I have done to every pair of sunglasses I have worn on the water since 1979. Whether I am heading to a weekend dive trip or just running errands, these sunglasses fit right in.
