Sobre este artículo

  • WHAT IS OTOSTICK? - Otostick is an ear corrector for adults made of medical grade silicone adhesive. It ensures each ear sticks to the adjacent part of the head by holding the ears back and providing a pain free and all natural appearance of the ear. It was created based on a necessity: to correct prominent ears (commonly known as "large ears") in a simple way, without needing plastic surgery or otoplasty.
  • EASY TO USE & IMMEDIATE EFFECT - Fit for any occasion or activities, Otostick ear correctors are self care products that are easy to use, comfortable, and discreet as they are made of clear silicone. Following the placement instructions in the package insert is important to ensure that each corrector lasts as long as possible and that the position of the ears are optimal.
  • APPLICATION & PLACEMENT - Clean the area behind ears with an alcohol based astringent product. Determine the exact point of placement before finalizing the position. Remove the protective paper from the side that goes on the ear and stick it on the ear first before removing the protective paper from the side that sticks to the head. Press the ear back against the head, taking care not to leave hair underneath the ear patch. Press for a few seconds to ensure proper adhesion.
  • CONTENT & DURATION - Each Otostick Kit contains 8 correctors, recommended for use from the age of 3 years and older. On average, each ear corrector lasts for 3-7 days if applied correctly. Alternatively, you can use the correction patches for specific occasions where, in case of particular hair styling, the prominence of the ears is more notable. To prolong the effective duration, ensure proper placement on clean and dry skin.
  • RECOMMENDATIONS - Wait 4 hours from application before getting the silicone patches wet, taking care to avoid activities that induce sweating or the usage of accessories such as masks, which may pull or rub the correctors. Between the removal of a corrector and applying a new one, it is advisable to let skin rest for a period of 12-24 hours. In this period, hydrate the area with a moisturizer. However, REMEMBER to cleanse the area thoroughly once more before applying a new pair.

Oh my God these actually work!

So I bought these about a week ago mainly because when I wear a baseball cap it touches the top of my ears and causes my ears to stick out through my hair -- which is a huge pet peeve of mine lol. I was cautiously optimistic, considering these things are usually gimmicky. Well I received them in this cute little plastic container and followed the instructions to a t... Cleaned both the back of my ears and the place on my scalp where the other side of the tape would go with a makeup remover wipe. Placed the tape to the back of my ear first, then pressed my ear against my scalp for about 30 seconds to a minute, let go and oh my goodness it worked. I have slept, showered and worked out with these in place -- forgetting they are even there. I'm now on day 8 and I've only had to change one because I didn't like where I originally placed it. It was NOT easy to remove either. Love these so much I placed another order 5 days ago. Read more

Tips for using Otostick as someone who has used this product for YEARS

I have used this product for I think about six years now, and it was a long process of trial and error getting them right, but I love using it, and wear it for special events I need to go to and they last for about two weeks. So I am going to share these tips with anyone using these so you don't have to make the same mistakes I had in the past or waste the product. Most people on here are saying that the Otostick only lasts for about 1 to 4 days before they start to experience soreness, pain, or it comes off. Mine usually last for about two weeks with no issues, so here is how to get them to last: 1. Take a shower. Girlies, you might as well get in a hair shower before putting on the otostick. It'll save you having to take as many hair showers with the otostick on, and it'll help cleanse the area where the adhesive sticks. 2. First, clip your hair out of the way! That includes baby hairs, which can get under the otostick and prevent them from sealing all the way, making them not last as long. You can place the otostick with its paper still on onto your ear to try to find a good spot where it isn't touching hair. 3. Cleanse the areas that the adhesive sticks to with alcohol. Let it dry. 4. Another product you can buy that helps a lot with the adhesive staying on is the JOBST "It Stays!" roll-on body fixative. Roll this onto your ear and head where the adhesive will go after you put the rubbing alcohol on ears. 5. I use two mirrors angled in a way that I can see the back of my ear when applying the otostick. First, peal off the paper on the side that is going on your ear. Do not peal off the other side yet. Try not to touch the sticky part. 6. Place the otostick onto your ear with the indented side facing forward and the curved back side following the curve of the back of your ear. MAKE SURE not to place the otostick too far down into the crevice where the ear meets your head, as this will cause pain later on. But also make sure NOT to have the sticky part attach to the very edge of the ear so that it curves around the outside lip of the ear. If the otostick isn't on something flat, and is on something that curves, the edges will lift sooner. There is a sweet spot to put the otostick that may be different for everyone. 7. Once you have the first side of the otostick attached, press hard on in and wait a few minutes. Then, take off the paper covering the adhesive on the other side to attach to your head. Now this part is important: DO NOT force the placement of this side. All you have to do is take your hand and press with a flat palm on your ear and wherever it naturally attaches to your head is where it should go! This is a mistake many people do and it leads to really painful soreness because they are forcing their ear to be put in a position it is not used to and it pulls on the ear skin. After adhering, press and hold the sticky part down to make sure it seals properly. 8. Repeat this process on the other ear. IMPORTANT: if your otostick starts to lift to wehere it is forming an air bubble opening to the outside, take them off immediately! If you keep them on, with sweat and showers, it can create a moist environment for bacteria to grow underneath. And then you will take them off and it will smell bad and be raw because the bacteria was basically eating away at your ear skin. This is a good product if you know how to use it, but be smart because infections anywhere near your head or cranial orifices is always a bad idea. Read more

Amazing!!

I have used these for years! Growing up i was bullied about my ears and I can’t afford surgery to get them done. So i use these instead and they make me feel so much more confident and comfortable with pulling my hair up. I HIGHLY recommend these, they are clear so you can’t see them. they last around a week and i shower and wash my hair everyday!! I absolutely love these. Read more

confidence boost

i think this product might have just changed my life. i have never been able to wear my hair up because i have one ear that pokes out (not just a little, it’s a lot and very noticeable. it is deformed). i have always dreamed of an otoplasty but that is scary and expensive. i dont think this gives the same effect of an otoplasty but i have never tried something like this. i finally took the leap because my hair can’t be down in my face forever. application is sort of difficult when you are alone but i got it done. i cleaned the area with alcohol and let it dry and then i figured out my placement before i actually peeled off the cover. it DOES get painful after a while. it was bothering me so much that i took it off before it was ready and that left a small scab on my ear (just goes to show that the adhesive is really strong and this could definitely last up to a week. i think i had it on for 3 days before i forced it off) the scab is not bad or painful and im not blaming this product because i know i should have found another way to get it off besides just ripping it. basically, what im trying to say is this product is amazing and i will be using this all the time whenever i need to feel a little more comfortable in my own skin or when i need to have my hair up. i have walked around in shame for so long (i know that maybe i shouldn’t, but it’s easier said than done) but with this product i don’t think twice about who is seeing my ear. i added a picture of the scab and a before/after picture. Works mostly but pricey

I've used these for a bit and they work well but I've had a few that didn't stick. And the price is a little steep for what they are. I wish it was more reasonable or came with more in the pack. Read more
