OtterBox iPhone 17 Pro Profile Series Case - Black

I’m on my 4th case for the 17 Pro. I saw this one because I used an Otter Box Defender on my 14 Pro and used a belt clip. Read the reviews and got this one. Very impressed with the quality and the fit. Installed easy just snapped in. It’s a little thin for my hands but it works well. It’s not slippery and feels good. Protection is very good, sturdy and solid. Have to get used to the clear portion on the back. MagSafe works well and I found the Encased belt clip fits perfect. Great case and worth the money. Phenomenal!! Otterbox provides superior protection as always!! I almost didn’t purchase with all the reviews stating it was, “cheap, flimsy and has sharp edges”. Boy were they wrong!! I have small, soft woman hands. With the new IPhone Pro Max 17 I was concerned with the size of the phone and needing a comfortable phone case. This baby fits like a glove in your hand. Just returned from a long road trip to the mountains and a Virginia Tech football game. The case didn’t hurt my hands for a single second- after hours of photos, videos, phone holding for navigation, etc. Plus, when I accidentally dropped my phone from a Coleman chair onto a concrete pad- it didn’t shatter!!! Great phone case. I got it on sale, but would I pay the full $40 some dollars? No. But I can say this - I know I'm getting a quality case. Some may say that you'd rather get a $10 rip off, but I can assure you. As someone who spends days picking out the right phone case, comparing reviews, reviewer photos, etc. The rip off ones have a chance of becoming discolored, stained, warped, or have bad cut outs. I have seen many phone cases, more the black ones, turn into a weird yellow silver and lighter colors that discolor in patches with no hope of cleaning it off from many, many other reviewers. This Otterbox case has edges that feel sturdy, dense and not a cheap silicone rubbery feel. The glass is crystal clear and overall the case is rigid, not concerningly flexible. The magsafe magnet also has no issues and is strong. I recommend this case. Also note that the camera cut outs stick out a good amount to protect your lenses from falls. I've actually already dropped my phone twice on hard flooring and there's no damage whatsoever. Read more

A lot of people reviewing don't seem to understand clear cases are plastic and will get fingerprints. That's just how they work. I didn't have any of the quality issues others mentioned about sharp edges or "caluses" from picking up my phone (no idea how that person had that happen). Perhaps it's a quality issue or perhaps just a small sample size from the first batch made. The case I received was exactly what was advertised and fit well. MagSafe was normal strength. Grip was normal. Not super grippy but not slippery either. It was clear and did not let anything get behind the cover easily once installed as compared to a couple others I tried like DBrand cases. Camera control button was easily accessible. Only reason I returned it was I decided I preferred a clear case with coverage on the camera area too. For what it is, a little overpriced in my opinion but it's a good case and if it had camera coverage I'd have kept it. Read more
