Excellent case. Will not protect your phone from an 18 wheeler running it over, but it kept the pieces together. 😂 Every time I get a new phone I buy one of these, I think I'm on my 5th or 6th. Let’s just cut straight to the chase. I dropped my phone before I got this case, cracked the back glass on my Xr, luckily it was just fractured, 1 crack. big crack. But just 1. I immediately ordered this case because it had a rotating belt clip, and a 3 part case, with the clip housing acting as another layer of protection. Now, I’ve since broken the clip, reordered, and broken the clip again (both times my fault, the clip is amazing when your not ripping it off on steel racks), so I’ve taken it as a sign to stop wearing the clip, but the performance of the case alone, has sold me for all future phones. I run NO screen protector with this case, and I feel just fine. I’ve dropped this thing so many times I’ve lost count, and I’ve dropped it face down multiple times. The raised beveled edged combined with the impact shell, have always saved this phone. Like I’d say there was 2-3 time that my phone SHOULD have been broken or at least cracked, and to my surprise, it’s unscathed. I take it out of the case some times to admire the single crack that hasn’t moved an inch since I got it. And that’s the other crazy part, all of those impacts, were after the phone was already damaged. If you know glass, that’s pretty impressive impact protection for cracked back glass to not progress. This thing is legit, and if you have a screen protector, you’re safer than safe. Highly recommend if you’re still unfortunate enough to be rocking an iPhone X, but they have all the sizes, so it’s not an issue anyway. I can personally attest to the quality of the X case 100%, and if their other products are made to the same quality, then you have no worries. I had one of these cases two phones ago. My dog chewed my case on my secondary phone recently so I had to get another one. The outside has a kind of soft back, rubber like. If you use a pop socket, it will ruin the outside of the case, peeling off layers of the material. You also can’t clean it with alcohol because it breaks down the material and the case starts to look very raggedy. But for $15, it’s a very good price because the previous one I had like this, I dropped my phone a million times on cement, tile flooring, u name it and my phone was never damaged. The otter box I have for my primary phone has a harder outside cover which I definitely prefer to the softer cover of this case. Update: I’ve had a pop socket on this case for the last few weeks and it has not damaged the case at all, it’s still securely attached. Read more
