I like more subtle fragrances, as it's always irritated me when I can smell someone's perfume or cologne after they've left the room, or feel overpowered by it when talking to someone. This cologne smells incredible with a lot of woodsy and peppery notes, but it fades pretty quick and is extremely subtle, fading quite a bit after about 10-15 minutes. Unless you really want to hose yourself down with it, most people will smell it when they hug you, but you wont turn heads (in a good way) walking past people. The subtlety doesn't bother me though, I still enjoy the scent and I'd rather have subtle than overpowering. Just something to be aware of. Its my daily cologne as opposed to my other go to, Sauvage by Dior, which I use less regularly and which has a slightly stronger and much longer lasting scent but at a significantly higher price. Ok it just arrived today I took a chance on this based on reviews. I was searching for somthing unique and my key word was leather. I am a huge johny cash and waylon Jennings fan so the words OUTLAW may have also played a part subconsciously in my purchase. This product sat in my Amazon shopping cart for months until I got the nerve to take the chance. I picked the box up from mudroom floor and immediately could smell it, I was unsure bc I also ordered some Duke cannon soaps which I highly recommend. I have no words for the smell I first got it was distinct I opened loved the packaging opened and immediately spritzed it on my t-shirt . I sat and enjoyed my coffee with a cigarette as I was taken back to my father's old spice after shave. It's not exactly old spice as it's been yrs since I have smelled it . But maybe if old spice and Stetson had a Son and he is now a man sitting in a cabin thinking about life. I got a shower and I could smell this new smell following me and I was singing John Denver's Country Road for some damn reason. I dried off and squirted just one single sprits on my chest and dressed and it's now been an hour, the smell is still there and I feel it mixes well with my own body chemistry I cant wait to see what the wife thinks. It is musky manly and one spray seems like plenty. It is not super woodsy as I was lead to believe. I am 36 with 3 kids and spend my summers camping almost every weekend i belong to a black powder club and enjoy the nature smells in Pennsylvania and the smell of gun powder. I am a whiskey and scotch lover and yes I wear a flannel and carhartt. This is none of those things but yet I am not dissapointed as it is new and I feel it will mix amazingly with my life style. It was a gamble buying online with out smelling it but I feel I came out ahead and this will be my new scent for every day use. Hope this was some what helpful to someone in making their choice.
