The thrower feels very durable and well made. The ball also seems durable. With consistent use in the backyard, the dog doesn't seem to have worn out the ball. Only critique would be that the thrower requires a little more force on the throw to release the ball. If you have a smaller backyard, this could be difficult to throw it hard enough to release the ball without going into the neighbors yard!
