I bought this after damaging two colanders from trying to steam vegetables on the stove. I was hesitant because I’ve never heard of this name brand and was worried it would be DOA or not work at all. I have used this machine twice only to steam vegetables and it’s been great! I first steamed green beans and baby carrots and was very happy with the results. I just steamed some rainbow cauliflower, baby carrots, and green beans and it’s pretty tender. I love how there are two tiers so you can steam two different items at once. I have not tried to steam meat or eggs so I can’t give feedback on this. The machine is also very easy to clean. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase, it steams my vegetables with ease, it’s small enough to fit in my appliance cabinet but big enough to steam several different vegetables at once. Definitely worth the $23 instead of paying nearly the same for a good quality metal colander. Read more

Nice product for the price. You're only 400 w it Cooks better than I thought. 400 watts is a half a cent an hour. Timer let you do other things while you're waiting. And in case you forget it shuts off. Containers hold a lot more food than I thought. I didn't feel up either but a fourth of the way and it cooked fine. For safety reasons I check the liquid level twice and a half an hour to make sure there's enough. Doesn't take up much space on the stove or countertop. I have a lot of vegetables and when you steam them more of the natural taste remains versus frying and butter grease etc it's also healthier. I'm going to try cooking other items and we'll do a later review. I'm anxious to see how it Cooks fish. To speed up the cooking, I cut up my potatoes into small thin french fry shaped slices. I'll do the same for fish and other foods where able. After I'm finished I drain the liquid out, cool it and my cats and dogs love it. It's got that vegetable taste. Thank you Read more

This thing has made my life so much easier, let me tell you. Shamefully easier, even. It's compact, SUPER EASY to clean, incredibly straightforward- ..I mean, it's a steamer, not brain surgery. BUT! For someone who works full time with about two seconds of free time, this thing is a godsend! I've missed steamed foods terribly, as it's about half of what I ate growing up. I've had a hard time finding a good steam pot duo I've wanted to really sink money into, and like I said, with a full time job I don't have a lot of time to cook as much as I'd like to. I didn't want to spend money on a big pot that I won't have much time to use, or even adequately utilize, as it's just my girlfriend and I right now. I tried those collapsing basket steamers as a happy compromise, but you know what? Ain't nothing happy about those my guy. Those baskets are hot trash. Enter: this thing. I come home, pop it out of the cabinet and it takes literal seconds to set up. I love this steamer. Cleanup is fast, the stacking chamber is dishwasher safe. The price is great. This thing is perfect honestly for anyone, but especially if you're a single person or couple living in an apartment, or just don't want another appliance taking up half your counter. If you're like me and have been looking for a convenient steamer, you really can't find anything lazier than this. If you've never cooked with a steamer before, the price and ease of use also makes it a good entry point! Read more

I was very surprised at how well it cooks your vegetables or fruit, even food. The only downside is that you have to be very careful when you're done uncovering it because the steam will burn your skin even if you grab it by the edges of the lid. Let it cool a bit or wear gloves. Otherwise, it's excellent. Read more

Changed my relationship with veggies. I steam food 2-3x a week ranging from green beans to broccoli or fish. This also makes making dumplings way easier. Affordable model for feeding a family of 1. I can fill the base with water set it and forget it. It stores compact as everything stacks into each other. It’s easy to clean as it goes in the dishwater (plastic parts) and the base you let cool and then wipe out. Great way to gently cook food. While you don’t season the food that goes directly in. I found making fish pouches aka placing the fish into aluminum foil packets with some spices and butter has a great taste after it’s been steamed. 10/10 I’m happy I invested in this little machine. Especially on days when you don’t want to break out the counter grill or pots as pans but still want to eat healthy. Read more

Overall good but the steam does not seem to be strong enough to go to the 2nd floor. Only the first floor is getting a good amount of steam. Read more

This has been a great addition to my kitchen. It heats up quickly and cooks vegetables evenly while keeping all the flavor and nutrients intact. I love how easy it is to use and clean, and the tiered design lets me steam multiple items at once. Read more
