After removing boat from lake, I plugged my trailer back into the truck. Few minutes later lights went out. Fuses were good, wireing seemed to be ok but no lights. Bought this adapter because it has 4 & 5 connection points. Plugged it in and all the lights work. Old adapter apparently shorted inside. This is a great choice to plug in 4 & 5 different types of trailer lights. Read more

Build quality is good and the connection to the vehicle round 7-PIN is very secure. Grips on the side are good to be able to unplug it. The rubber covers provided have a good seal and protect the 4 and 5 pin connectors from getting wet or covered in dust while they are not in use. I like the ability to use both the 4 & 5 PIN simultaneously. The one concern I have is that the 5 PIN connection is very tight and I can’t slide the connector all the way in. The 4 PIN connection is secure and it has good water seal. The 5 PIN is a harness from the same seller. I can’t tell which one is defective and there’s no way to contact the seller. product works as described, like the fact it works for both a 4 or 5 pin connector, and has protective cover when not in use, i still take mine and store in the truck since there are some people who like to take things that they don't own because its easy to pop out and walk off with.. Read more
This adapter has been wiring great with my 2021 GMC Acadia AT4's factory 7-blade harness. I have two trailers that I tow but they are both 4 pin. For the extra $1 to get the 5-pin it was worth it. I do chew a trailer to tow eventually with a 5-pin so we will find out how it works there. Read more
