I consider myself a bath towel connisour. I have several high-end premium quality bath towels, along with some cheaper towels, so I know where the bars are set, when it comes to pricing with quality. These Ozdilek towels fit somewhere in the low to mid-range price tier. These aren't high-end quality, else they'd cost 4x more, but they ain't bad, either. They are somewhere in the middle. I calculated the GSM of the bath towels to be at about 567 GSM. I actually weighed, measured, and took pictures of all the towels, before and after washing them, and they only lost about 1% of their weight, during the wash, which is excellent in this tier. There was no noticable brown lint in my dryer afterwards, either. Whereas low quality towels, would lose a lot of lint in the 1st washing and drying. So these towels passed my washer and dryer test, with flying colors. I'll talk more about pre-washing later. These towels have a short to medium loft, have good absorbancy, and dry fairly quick. This is a very ideal combination for most times. Both of these bath towels, will easily fit in my towel warmer. Whereas my biggest thickest fluffiest bath sheet will barely fit. Big, thick, and fluffy these towels are not, but they are quite soft. These towels heat up quickly, and hold heat just OK, since they aren't the thickest. So if it's a cold day, I'll need to dry off and put some clothes on quickly. The bath towels, measure 30" x 60", so they may not be large enough for big people. Not the fault of the towel, but something to keep in mind, if you are a large person. Now about pre-washing new bath towels, this should be done with care. You do not ever want to use bleach or use super hot water on bath towels, if you want to keep them soft. For pre-washing use a 1/2 to 1 cup of vinegar, with warm to hot water, but not too hot, so that it can remove any protective coatings that may be on the fabric. Then wash them again in cold to warm water, with a few tablespoons of baking soda mixed with water. Then dry on low to medium heat. Avoid high heat, as it could damage the fibers. More tips: Try to wash bath towels only with other bath towels, in cold to warm water. Don't wash them with underwear and other clothes. That will only make them and smellier and dirtier. Avoid fabric softeners and dryer sheets with towels. That only hinders their absorbancy, by putting a chemical coating on them. Overall, this is a good set of towels at this price point, that should last several years, if they are taken care of properly. They have a well rounded combination of features, which makes them a solid choice for all but the coldest of seasons. These will be great towels for most people. Read more

These towels are EVERYTHING. From the opening experience through a bunch of washes later, I continue to be impressed. The packaging was lovely, and very giftable. My first impression upon touching the towels was that they are ultra soft and luxurious. It took a couple rounds through the washer and dryer before these stopped shedding lint, but this is expected with cotton towels. They've held up through 6 weeks of daily use with washings at least weekly and they're showing no signs of wear yet. All stitching is intact and the towels remain soft and absorbent. These Turkish towels come beautifully packaged, and I would not hesitate to buy them as a gift. I absolutely LOVE the blue color, which works very well with our guest bath colors. There are a number of other luxuriously rich colors to choose from as well. Just placing these premium Turkish towels in any bathroom instantly freshens the decor. I believe that the 100% cotton fabric and sturdy stitching will ensure that they last for a long time. Two bath towels, two hand towels, and two washcloths are ideal for guests. The only reason I give four stars instead of five is because my wife feels that they aren't "plush" enough.
