Pact Organic Cotton Womens Cardigan

I LOVE this cardigan, the material is high quality, the color is as shown, the sleeves are tight to my elbows and then loose to my shoulders. As for the collar issue people are wigging out about, I don’t get it, it’s definitely to give a little more depth at the shoulders instead of being completely flat which I really like, as someone with broad shoulders and a small head this is much more flattering for me! I ordered the Maritime Navy color cardigan in Large. There was no size chart available with the product information, but Large should be a comfortable fit for me. The cardigan I received has a label with L/XL size. This is made in India. I ordered this because I love cardigans and I know the Pact brand and organic clothing is important to me. The label says this is 100% organic cotton, although I do not see organic certification. The label has the codes “RN 128480 / CU 832196” and I do not know what those mean. Because I am familiar with Pact, I believe it is organic cotton, and am wondering about certification. I like that this is 100% organic cotton; I like the color; and I like the end of the sleeves, where the fabric is folded which creates a finished edge. That’s it. The construction is strange: There is a long ribbon sewn along the neckline and I do not know what that is for; except for the ends of the sleeves, all the hems are sewn in an unfinished style; the fit of the arms to above the elbow is super snug—too snug; then there is a seam in the arm above the elbow, which can’t be seen from the product photos, and the rest of the cardigan is overlarge and slouchy and sloppy and rides high in the back. It is possible the unfinished edges are supposed to be folded in or under, but they will not stay in place and they will fray to the stitching. The two patch pockets are roomy—8-1/2 inches wide and 8-1/2 inches deep. The fabric is nice and lightweight and this is machine washable and dryable—also good features. Overall, I would not enjoy wearing this cardigan because of the poor fit and design. Read more

I enjoy organic cotton when I can and Pact is one of these brands. This long cardigan is a bit odd in style and shape. It feels a bit boxy with the pockets that seem more suitable for a bathrobe. I ordered the S/M thinking it might be snug but it is a little loose. But at the end of the day this makes for a great little house sweater when it is cool. Read more

It fits but the forearms are really really like compression tight where the rest of the sweater is very loose and that's a style thing so not really a fan of it thought it would feel differently thought it would look differently I could definitely see wearing it for certain things but it's gonna be something I wear on a very rare occasion The material is very soft and I'm super sensitive to materials a lot of times things people like feel scratchy to me but this is actually really comfortable material for me so I am impressed it is well made you could definitely tell there's quality here Read more

I love that this Pact cardigan is 100% organic cotton. I avoid synthetic materials, so this was a huge plus for me. However, the fit is less than flattering. I am 5'7", and the sweater is too long. I feel like I am wearing a bathrobe. The sweater is lightweight, so it's a great layer on a cool day. The material is very soft, and the sweater has two large pockets. But I will stick to wearing this around the house because it's not a flattering fit. Read more
