ok, so bear with me, a little back story. I've been diagnosed with lymph edema of my lower limbs for over 2 yrs. I've learned how to put on the sleeves, the 3 sizes of bandages and the foam piece with the outer sleeve and while it works, i have to replace it throughout the day as it slips and slides, not an easy task on your own, luckily my son has become an expert on fitting these right for me. It is not practical to apply these daily especially when I am on my own while my husband and son are at work, making this process a dangerous one as i have tripped many times when they loosen. I have also got the shorts and legs that attach to a machine and that pumps a massage around the garments ( i wont name the company but i think you know what i mean). Now, that is brilliant but again i need assistance putting it on, setting the machine and removing them, not a job when you are alone. This led to weird shaped pillows to support and raise my limbs, velcro wraps i can put on myself with liners underneath, or just laying on my bed with my legs raised up the wall, reading or watching tv upside down all day......boring!!! Any one who has this condition will share the annoyance of it, it gets so that it is difficult to move with the added weight in my legs and feet, pants, socks and shoes don't fit anymore, the pain when i try to flex my foot for walking or when my legs feel like they're about to burst. Its a very debilitating condition and all i had now from medical professionals was... "it's a life long condition", " you need to manage this condition daily" " you need to do all these treatments forever"... NOT ACCEPTABLE. SO one day i was on a media site and saw a new machine that they were asking for almost $200 and i immediately was shutting it down but then i got to thinking ... IF this machine was so good surely others have made one.. so this led me to looking on amazon and finding this.... at a much more acceptable price if it wasn't as good as the concept said it was. I received it and put it straight on to charge which didn't take long at all. I massaged my legs with moisturizer, oil and ginger essence which has been beneficial since therapy and settled in to use this machine. I saw that the green setting would be best for me and i worked my way up the levels until i found 7, which was the most tolerable for me. Now first, half an hour on my right leg, i dutifully circled around my leg slowly working from toe to knee 360 around my leg and i was amazed...... i could immediately see a difference in the level of swelling and the flexibility of my ankle. The same with my r leg!!!! i called my husband over to look see and he couldn't believe it either! so now i do this every other day, half an hour on each leg. I have no pain when flexing my ankles, i can feel the weight has lessened in my legs, the swelling is down somewhat and i have got back into sneakers i haven't worn for almost 2 years!!! It is so easy to use, it barely has any noise and is durable, it doesn't have any loose parts. But, i will say i think it would be better if the buttons were on the top, as sometimes i press the buttons by mistake as i'm moving it around my legs or it had more of a grip in the body because when applying it to myself obviously some positions to get into are a bit of a struggle and i have zapped my little finger many times trying to get round my legs heheheh. Cleaning it is a simple case of switching it off and running over it with a damp cloth to remove the moisturizer excess and drying with a towel. On a side note my husband has discoloration in his lower limbs, where the blood pools, I'm sure you know what i mean, and for curiosities sake we thought .... hmmmm what if..??? so we kept my settings and tried it on his legs and omg it started to work there too.... instead of being a solid color on one of his legs it broke it up to look like lots of freckles and his other leg it lightened the color. So, we do his legs every other day too!!!. Now i'm not saying this machine is a cure all, but there must be a high percentage of people who are in the same boat i was thinking they were stuck and not getting anymore medical help that eases their condition. Give this a try $30ish is not much to lose if you're one it doesn't work on, but if it does then OMG will you feel so much better.
