I really like this one having buttons as opposed to a screen pad with spots you press as they wore out. This one is working perfectly and is easier to use because of the buttons and is large. Finally! A product thats worth the cost! So many features to choose from, our favorite is the one to heat leftovers to perfect temperature. Whenever our son visits, he always comments how nice it is! We bought this to replace an older version of the same microwave that started to smoke. We never use every feature on these, but we have had four or five of the same or similar Panasonic Inverter units for decades now. They work great, the technology is very refined, and the cooking performance is predictable and consistent. Because we have used them for so long, we know how to plug the unit in and just go - and they work the same every time. We bought this particular unit because it was at a good discount, knowing it was a slightly older model than current, instead of trying to fix our old unit. Works great, just like the others. The only complaint is a slight mismatch of the door trim to the body (looks like the door isn't completely closed), and the flimsy feeling of the shell. Since it is large (these are big microwaves!) and takes up a lot of space on the counter, we would have liked a little more attention to looks. But it works great and nobody but us will be inspecting it. We got it at a discount, so we're happy! Read more

I bought this article, not from Amazon, on 2011. It developed the "door slam" problem in the first 5 years. I went in and reinforced the mounting of the microswitches with aluminum brackets. No more problem, but it has to be closed firmly. That solved, it's been wonderful. I just bought the same model again because of another problem. If I solve that one, I'll donate the old one.
