The material is durable. I’ve been able to chuck this in the wash, have cats scratch it up and pee on it, and not one fiber has fallen off of this thing. It is washing machine safe, the material is light enough that you can wash it with other things, the color stays vibrant, and it doesn’t hold odors. This rug is very soft and comfortable to use as a bath mat. The backing IS actually nonslip, which I really like since other bath rugs I've tried still slip around despite having the non slip backing. My only complaint, and reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is the uneven thread lengths on the rug. I got this because suddenly I've became obsessed with cute frogs. Let me tell you, this is so soft! This is easy to clean and it don't feel gross when Im out of the shower, it's really soft and plush. Id buy another one for my other bathroom if I really needed it! I've already washed it in my washing machine and dried it in the dryer and it's stayed soft, didn't lose shape didn't melt or anything! This was a very good purchase!
