I wanted a nice dark red two piece suit to add to my work collection. This missed the mark for that particular goal. I ordered the “red.” While I understand it says red, the photos show a “darker” red, that is closer to burgundy. I did take a gamble here but I based my decision on the photo. The red color I received is very much a bright December holiday festival costume red that is more “dated” unless of course you are looking for a “holiday” vibe. In that regard, it hits the mark. So for the price, it’s not a major investment and you get a bright red holiday two-piece look complete with white buttons. 😃 This set is not lined - neither the jacket nor the pants. Because of this, the structure of the jacket and pants is not as stable. You can see that in the jacket photo because it’s kind of bunched and lumpy and not lying flat. I would say the tailoring on this is very basic level mass produced. I do like that they’ve got the sewn in seam going down the front of the pants. I do like that the little asymmetric cut has a cute flare too! I don’t like that the elastic waist band started to twist and turn as I was pulling the pants on. It didn’t lie flat when I pulled the pants up and I had to adjust it. I do like that it’s a light material and since it’s not lined, you can toss it in the washing machine. This is not the suit for the power meeting, but it might be the suit that you put on in a hurry that you don’t have to send to the cleaners. While it doesn’t feel high-quality when you are putting it on, it presents “ok” - so you can keep the price and quality part to yourself. The fit was another plus. I am 5’9” and weigh 185. I ordered the XL and it fit pretty well with the exception of the arms which are a little long. Read more
