I like that this bin is made out of felt, and is sewn. I got it to replace another bin that we've had for years that is the standard fabric-and-cardboard cube bins that are found everywhere, on which the glue was beginning to fail. The size is comparable of the two, so it was easy to transfer items from the old bin into the new one. What I didn't think through is that this is thick felt, so it doesn't have the stability that the old one had. This wouldn't be much of a problem for filling a cube shelf, but I use these on a high shelf in our closet. Because I'm a bit shorter and the shelf is a bit of a reach for me, getting the new, floppier bin up was a bit harder to tilt up and then push in. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but it is something to think about depending on its use. Also, the vertical sides of the box are one continuous piece with a seam on one edge. It will make it more durable in the long run, but keep in mind that the seam will need to be placed toward the back each time if visual continuity is wanted since that seam-edge makes it look different than all the other corners. When I saw these storage cubes I noticed that the fiber content, in no less than three places, was listed as cotton. Cotton would be a difficult fiber to felt, but maybe they figured out a way. Nope, these are 100% polyester. They do machine wash and dry well. They lack a support panel for the bottom so it just sags. Read more

This felt storage bin is an attractive brown-y beige that will go with any decor. Because it doesn't have much of a shape I'm not using it in the living room, but it will be put to use stashing my sweaters and going into a spare closet. It looks to be good quality. Suggest manufacturer remove reference to cotton on the packing material. It's not a deal-breaker for me but it isn't the actual composition. Read more

This is a really nice felted storage bag/box. I got it to hold stuff in a transitory state. So far I've used it to carry a bunch of little stuff from one room to another while I was straightening up - worked great. It held stuff that needed a home for a few hours until I could get to it. And now it's my storage for things that don't fit and need to go to storage but I don't have enough for an entire box but I want them out of the closet. The color is very very neutral. If I had other poppier choices I probably would have gone with something with a little zing. But you can't go wrong with neutral. I have it sitting on the floor in a corner, but they might also fit into some of those Ikea bookcase type things with the cube spaces. It stands well on it's own, the sides stand up with no problem.
