Parker’s Silvertip Badger shaving brush is pure class. I’ve got other shaving brushes including high-end synthetics (also excellent) and boar (for exfoliation), but silvertip badger takes them all to school. The hair is oh-so-soft, yet with enough structure to function. Running it over your fingers or hand is soothing, and the 3 bands are rather beautiful. There’s just something aesthetically pleasing about natural fur (albeit with a twinge of guilt every time my cat walks in). It’s the undisputed champion of lather in my bathroom. I can reasonably quickly whip up thick, billowing lather from any decent shave cream. I’ve given up even trying with some of my other brushes. It’s deeply satisfying to plaster onto your face thick foam that’s caked into the brush. The wood handle makes all the difference. Plastic handles are cold to the touch and always feel a bit cheap. This walnut handle is warmer and has subtle imperfections that give it character. The chrome band below that is metal and makes it seem really solid, and protects the handle should you have a hard shaving bowl/scuttle. The stand it comes with is dinky plastic, but serves the purpose of drying the brush properly. Do yourself a favor and get an inexpensive metal stand that doesn’t tip over. Read more

There are so many brushes on Amazon it's very hard to choose a brush. This brush is silver tip badger. It is perfectly soft on the face but has a good back bone to get lather. It had absolutely no smell to it and I've had the brush over a month and it has not shed a single hair. I have avoided all the negative complaints that I've seen about other brushes in the reviews on Amazon by buying this brush. Also the handle is very comfortable and is not slippery in the least. This brush is manufactured by Parker who is a reputable manufacturer, it is Silvertip badger of which I heard is the best. I'm extremely happy with this purchase this is a high-quality brush at a reasonable price. It did not disappoint. Read more

The Parker Badger hair shaving brush is well made and does not feel cheap at all. The walnut handle gives the brush an added touch of elegance and unlike plastic handles wont become slippery when wet. The bristles on this brush are oh so soft. I have used this brush a handful of times and boy can it whip up shaving soap in no time. My only complaint would be the cheap plastic stand it comes with. The stand does it's job to allow the brush to dry, but it doesn't do the brush any justice. Do yourself a favor and get this brush. Read more
