I have bought these three times now for numerous projects. Out of three 24-packs, two fixtures have burnt out a couple years after install. The rest are still going strong 3+ years after install. I used them in every room in our house so we have 20+ in use daily. They have a very thin profile and are very bright. They are compatible with dimmable switches and basic to install. Read more

I'm a general contractor and have used the Parmida lights for probably the last 6 years. They are super cost effective, very easy to install and with the thousands of them we've used, I've had maybe 2 that had any problems. They just work and work. Love these lights!! Read more

I bought the 24-pk of 5K K discs for parts of a basement. I also have 5K K LED strips along my workshop that are far brighter. These discs, though rated just over 1000 lumens, seem to project a very wide pattern, resulting in approx 25 fc or so at (ping pong) table height. Six of these over a table is unsufficient for play, I had installed 14 in a space 35' x 12' hoping for more brightness than a handful of A19 incandescents that were there when we moved in. These were spaced about 5' apart in two long rows. The coverage pattern is acceptable, but the brightness is not (for me). Install was easy enough. The leads are tinned, which may or may not make your wire-nutting experience easier. The 24 were consistently trimmed to a length that was typically too long for my preference. Packaging was sufficient...none arrived broken. Each is individually wrapped within a larger cardboard box that provides physical separation. The lenses partial-turn (backwards to me) to release. I had tried one and decided it wasn't bright enough. My idiotic logic was that more would mitigate that issue. Not to the degree I had hoped. Now, I've installed 20 of them around the basement, where at least 50% of the area is just storage and shelving. They are adequate for that purpose. The shallow exposure is nice, less than 1/2" off the joists. I added plastic round J-boxes for each fixture. I didn't look into some of the comment-mentioned shorting issues. I did not run into those, but I didn't look, either. To me, the wire nuts that came with the fxitures were inferior. Didn't use them. Each comes with a pair of legs to attach to a recessed box, but they are easily left in the bag if you don't need them. I have not yet measured the current draw, but have noticed that in my application (mid-atlantic region, open ceiling joist, no insulation) the discs do not get very warm at all. Color temp appears a little cooler than my other 5K Kelvin-LEDs around. Not good or bad, but just different. I don't notice any flicker over the course of about two months now. I plan on removing the ones over the ping pong table and go with the 4' linear strips from Barrina I used in the shop. In the end, I wish I had gone with my gut and sent these back. The price was fair. The shipping was fine. The product is fine. The application did not meet my expectation. That's not a knock on the product. Read more

These Parmida lights are a great value, replaced 23 old Parmida lights which had reached "end of life" 5yrs...and after a lightening strike near our home. These are Daylight so very bright, kit came with 2 electrical connecting methods, wire nuts, & screws. They fit electrical boxes. Great price for a complete kit with 24 lights. Check the model # to order lights. Recommend Parmida lights. Read more

We bought some of the Parmida lights for our house. we purchased 24 of them. One went out after 4 years (crazy for an LED right?). We contacted Parmida for a replacement because it was still under warranty and they sent us the replacement. However, the 4000k was different than the 4000k we originally bought. We asked them to send us another one and they did. Again, this was still different. I even sent them pictures TWICE that they were different. In the pictures you can see one is more yellow than the other so definitely not a match. When I complained again, I got this response from them: "Hi Jason, There are a few reasons why this may be an issue: 1) Batch variation – During the production stage of each batch, the LED chip itself is purchased from a raw materials manufacturer. Although raw materials manufacturers take steps to ensure minimal color variability from one batch to another, it is not possible to guarantee the exact same color. If you purchase a Parmida downlights weeks or months apart, you are likely to come upon products from two different batches of production. This is commonplace in LED production and is a brand independent issue. 2) Brand Variability – Brands purchase their respective LED chips from various suppliers. Although the Kelvin scale is a unified method of measurement, different LED suppliers use different testing machines to measure their light temperature. Due to this there can also be variation of color output when purchasing from different brands as well, unfortunately it’s an imperfect science. If you would like us to send you one of the 4000K that we have been sending out to other customers with no complaints, then we can do so. Otherwise, we can provide a refund for the defective." So, if you're going to buy these, make sure you buy double in case they burn out. OR buy a different brand (which is what we're going to do). Read more
