It turns on by itself when it gets dark and turns off in the morning, which is super convenient — no need to remember to switch it. The design is clean and modern, and it looks beautiful on the wall. These are gorgeous! I had looked for weeks for new outdoor lights. Was shocked at how much they were individually at Lowes and Home Depot etc. I started looking for pairs online - it's so hard to online. My husband thought we needed at least 18" or bigger for by the garage and a smaller set for by our front doors. I couldn't find anything like that at what I wanted to pay. I took a chance and told him we woulc always send them back. This size was actually perfect - definitely did not need any bigger. And they are bright with the edison bulbs we put in. The dawn to dusk feature is working perfectly. I love that if you don't want them to come on (the set by the front door is also near an extra bedroom window) you just flip your inside switch and they are off. They look very expensive too! I ordered 5 if the lights and had an electrician install them. The installation occurred flawlessly. The lights looked beautiful. I WAS glad that I purchased them. Had I left a review when I first purchased, that would've been it. However, a year later and 2 of the most used lights appear to have an issue with the sensor. The light turns on and then immediately goes out. The bulb still works. The electricity is fine. I can only presume it's an issue with the light sensor since it's built to turn on and off on its own. Now, I have to purchase 5 exterior lights to replace these. My husband and I leave for work when it's still dark and we don't have ANY light to see currently. If you don't mind short term lights, then you found the product. However, if you expect your outdoor lights to work past a year, look elsewhere. ****EDIT/UPDATE*** Before purchasing new lights, I decided to change the light bulbs. This was after my husband kept insisting it was the bulbs. Forgive me if I sound ditzy, but I don't usually have to change bulbs after a year and the bulbs were still coming on, but going out shortly after. Short version: the issue was the lightbulbs. Now they work great. Just keep in mind that the provided bulbs may not perform for long. Read more

Love our new garage lights. My boyfriend set up and found it to be easy. Size is perfect and so far durability is good. They survived the huge winds we had down here in Florida with the big cold snap. They work accordingly as to the description, dusk to dawn which I really love. I have to say so far I'm VERY impressed by these lights. They were packaged EXTREMELY well. I've gotten some products directly from the east and the packaging of fragile or even semi-fragile items left a lot to be desired. not so with these. Fit snuggly in high quality dense styrofoam. The materials of the lights themselves feels good. Sturdy, and durable. No visible flaws. Glass was perfect. Weight was what I would want for outdoor lights. The hardware provided was just right. They replaced to older fixtures and fit there perfectly. One thing to note, I wasn't sure if these fixtures flared out at the bottom - they do. It's not overly dramatic - but the bottom is wider than the top - so in a sense if the edges continued on they'd eventually form a pyramid. I would have like there to be an attempt at a gasket around the box that fits to the side of the house, but for the price point, i'm not at all upset it wasn't there. The included bulbs are bright and look great. A very nice bonus. The wires were a hot (black) neutral (white) and ground - bare copper. They could have trimmed a bit more off the leads, but it was an easy fix. I haven't observed the quality of the dusk to dawn feature, but when the sun's out tomorrow I'll edit this review if there's a problem, but I don't expect any issue. I will say the connection of the lights to the photocell sensor was a little shoddy - i just saw some electrical tape, didn't feel the presence of a wire nut. Overall great bang for the buck and would absolutely recommend. I have these lights outdoors, but they are under roof overhangs. If anything changes I'll re post. Very satisfied with my purchase.
