Patchology Not A Spot Hydrocolloid Pimple Patches 48 Clear Acne Stickers for Face and Body Skin-Friendly Spot Treatment

EDITED TO 5 STARS: After using these a few more times, I can say that they really work surprisingly well! I had a blemish pop up recently and slapped one of these on overnight, and I woke up to the patch being puffy but my skin being much less red and raised underneath. Just make sure you don't have any moisturizer on when you apply them or they won't stick. - - - - - - - - - - - - - Product reviewed: Patchology Not A Spot Hydrocolloid Pimple Patches (48 ct, clear) I always had mostly clear skin until I hit my 30s. Thankfully, it's still just the occasional zit and not full-blown breakouts, but still super frustrating! This is especially problematic when I am preparing for a show (I'm an actress). I have had good luck with hydrocolloid bandages in the past so thought I'd give these a try to see if they help stop pimples in their tracks before they can pop up completely. I noticed a small blemish that was starting to form beside my nose and applied a pimple patch there after my normal face wash & moisturizing routine (I wiped off any residual product before applying). This stuck easily and securely. It stayed on overnight, and removed easily with no pain in the morning. This did not irritate my very sensitive skin. To my surprise, these really are almost invisible against my skin! I've included two photos with slightly different lighting to show that while the patch is there, you can only barely see it at the right angle. I still wouldn't wear it out and about, but could probably get away with it as long as no one had to get too close to my face! Now, does it work? I'm not sure. I can say that I did NOT end up developing a full-on pimple where I applied the patch, but I did still see a tiny red swelling for another day or two, so I'm not sure what role the patch played. There also wasn't much visible change to the patch itself. When I've used hydrocolloid bandages, they've always developed a noticeable puffy spot where they cover the wound, and I did not experience that here. Maybe it just wasn't too bad of a blemish? Either way, I know that hydrocolloid products are effective at absorbing gunk, so I have faith these help with blemishes. I am so impressed with these pimple patches! I used one on a pimple that I had just popped (but was still inflamed) and left it on overnight, about 7 hours. First off, I love that the patches are clear — they blend right into the skin and are barely noticeable. Even though I mostly use them at night, you could easily wear them during the day without anyone realizing you have one on. The patch stayed put all night without lifting or moving, and when I removed it in the morning, there was a white spot in the center full of gunk that had been drawn out. The pimple itself looked much flatter and less inflamed. Even though I had already popped it, I could tell there was still some buildup under the skin, and I really believe this patch helped pull it out and speed up the healing process. Another thing I appreciate is the packaging — the patches come in little resealable bags that keep them clean and dry, which is a huge plus for hygiene. It did work for my mini whitehead head that popped up overnight It did not work for my blemish on my nose that’s been there for sometime It didn’t stay on during a workout or hot and humid days. It didn’t stay on over night sleeping and working behind my desk (less active/sweaty). Mainly wanted to use this for the blemish on nose but no luck sadly. Read more

I ordered these primarily for my pre-teen daughter, who is starting to get the occasional breakout. She usually opts for pimple patches that are fun shapes and sparkly. These are the exact opposite when it comes to asthetics, as instead of standing out, these patches are super discrete and blend in great. You can barely see them when they are on. I'm in my 40s, but several times a year I will get a big, honking, painful, oil-filled zit. They usually are on my chin, and they drive me crazy. I always want to pop them for relief, and of course that never goes well. (PSA - Hands off! Don't pick those pimples!). Anyway, I got one of those monsters recently and decided to raid my daughter's pimple patch stash. I popped one of these on, and was amazed that in the matter of a few hours, I could see the gunk accumulating in the patch. The next morning, I took the patch off and my pimple was greatly improved - both in appearance and in the pain level. These patches adhere well and didn't irritate my sensitive skin. I wish these were around when I was a teen. I would have had much better skin with less picking-induced scarring. Definitely recommend. My only minor complaint - these are on the smaller side compared to some other patches we've had. So if you have a mega-zit, these might not be big enough to get the job done. Love these type of patches and with four teenagers in the house we have tried a number of brands. These have the tapered edges which makes for a more discrete profile on the face, you can even get away with feathering a bit of concealer on top of if you want to. They adhere well and will stay in place all day or all night, two thumbs up. Read more
