Discreet and works
These are definitely discreet. You'd never know they are there, with the exception of the tiny little power light. Simple fix, black electric tape - tiny little piece. Fixed. The instructions are not the best, so here's a little help for the missing piece that I found: where it keeps telling you to go to your wifi settings in your phone - (after being sure your connected to your 2.4 ghz wifi) you need to scan and look for the new random wifi name that pops up as that is the new camera you are setting up - select it and connect to it, and then go back to the look cam app. That'll add the camera. If you need to press the power button, its a tiny little hole next to that power light and you'll need a paperclip or one of those little metal pins that come with your cell phone for the sim card inserts. If you press & hold that power button for 5 seconds, it resets the camera. Other than that not being very clear in the instructions, this works very well and I am very pleased with my purchases. I got multiple and will say this: if you put them too close together they will kick each other offline. I only discovered this as I set them up in the same room on the same outlet. So, every time I setup one and it came online, it would kick the other offline. Once they were in separate rooms, no issues with staying online. So, be sure to have them some distance away from each other when using multiple devices. Overall, these are great and do as advertised. I will likely be purchasing more for home security. If you want to remote into these, the only way to scroll through the video remotely is to purchase the Cloud service. It was like $4 for 7 days and I think $28 for 30 days, to give an idea of cost. I paid for the $4 to view the cloud sevice and that function is nice & satisfactory if that is something you would want. Otherwise, the wifi remote viewing feature is live viewing only. You would have to remove the mini SD card from the back to view the continuous recording at a later time, not remotely from your phone (that you purchase separately, I got a 128 gb sd card). You can view video and audio on these. The image is good quality during daytime & also when lighting is on and of equally good quality. If there is no lighting, there is no image; these do not have nighttime vision. If the lighting is low quality, the image quality is also affected. So, you do want to take this into account. The audio quality seems equally good. They would be perfect for keeping an eye on pets during the daytime while at work or using as a nanny cam as a couple of thoughts. Again, they are very discreet; its very hard for someone up to no good to take out a camera they do not realize is there, making these perfect for backup hidden devices in case the ones that are more recognizable are disabled.
