Why did you pick this product vs others?: Beautiful glasses. YET… they broke literally on the first night. I have superglued them and i am hoping the glue will hold, but its unacceptable that glasses which sell for three to four times the amount of my other reading glasses (also bought, repeatedly, on amazon, for A DECADE now) broke right away. The usual stylish reading glasses i buy here from different makers last YEARS. They can take a beating, and they are arguably just as cute. Ive only ever needed to replace them when i needed a stronger magnification. I was going to buy the brown tortoiseshell frames too, but i certainly wont now. Bottom line: Recommended if you have the face shape and/or confidence to pull a look off. Pros: Good magnification, fewer blur issues than most, sturdy quality frames, expensive looking frames of good quality, good lenses that don’t warp -Cons: no anti-glare coating, metal earpiece tips catch on my hair and can’t be smoothed or refitted - These are large glasses with a larger-than-life style. There’s a razor thin margin between bold and stylish and owlishly odd. I have an longish (not Sarah Jessica Parker or Abe Lincoln, but longer than it is wide) face shape with, what I previously understood to be unremarkable features. However, these glasses have a Clark Kent effect and I’m transformed from a fairly well-preserved 40-something woman with slightly close-set eyes into a try-hard cross-eyed supervillain.
