Despite the high price I chose this bed for our two small dogs because of Pendleton‘s trusted reputation for quality goods and for its beauty. It is also comfortable for the dogs. However, shortly after our dogs began to use this bed and a second one I ordered from Pendleton, their “cigars“, no-hide doggy chews,, turned up in the beds covered with tiny micro fibers from the fleece fabric of the bed. So, what potential purchasers should know is that the fleece of the bed does release tiny microfibers that will stick to and go into your dog via doggy chews, treats and physical contact. I still love the beauty of the beds, and the dogs like the comfort, so I purchased organic cotton fabric to cover the main sleeping area and to tighten up the crevices where treats and doggy chews tend to end up, fuzzy with micro fibers.
