Pendleton Womens Western Scenic Cardigan - 100 Cotton Knit Sweater Jacket Ribbed Collar Washable - Brick Rose Multi

This Pendleton cardigan is so very nice. The cotton is soft, medium thickness and comfortable. I have other Pendleton cardigans and I always get size x-small, so I got that size and it fits as expected. I wear xs in most clothing. The cardigan is a slightly cropped length and also has a slightly relaxed fit. The bust measurement on the x-small is about 37”. It looks amazing with a light denim shirt, jeans and cowboy boots, but you could definitely wear this in a more dressed up style by wearing it with a dressier top and pants. It would look great with a denim skirt as well. I am going to plan all my outfits around this sweater come autumn! The design is beautiful and is knitted into the fabric of the cardigan. The inside has a different, simple, yet complementary design that is also very pretty. The south western design includes a saguaro cactus, some scrub, a butte and a galloping horse which make the design so unique and special. There are only five colors in shades of dark beige, a soft muted pink, two shades of clay, plus maroon, yet the design and details are just perfect. The colors seem true to what is depicted on the Amazon page for this item except for the lightest color. In the Amazon pictures the collar and bottom of the sweater look like a cream or off white shade, but my sweater looks beige in those areas (my photos make it look lighter than it does in person). The inside is neatly finished as one would expect from a sweater in this price range. This sweater can be machine washed on gentle or dry cleaned. It comes with an extra button and a length of beige cotton yarn (thread). It’s a wonderful sweater and I love it. I’m 5’4” tall and long waisted for my height, and the cardigan length works well on me. The length is listed as 20.5” and that is consistent with the measurements of my sweater. Overall, I think this is a very special and gorgeous cardigan, and it is true Pendleton style and quality. The fabric has a nice weight to it and feels soft and comfortable. This sweater is very nice. It is shorter than I expected. I am busty so that may contribute. Hits me just above the waist. I would say this runs large. I got my usual shirt or sweater size and it’s an oversized feel on me in width. The quality is magnificent. It’s very warm. The colors and design are so pretty and vibrant. The material is incredibly nice. It’s is very comfortable and very warm. This would make a great sweater for a southwest look but can work into any look. Awesome for jeans or a skirt or slacks. I am a long-time Pendleton fan so wish this cardigan were executed better. The good: 1) the 100% cotton construction is substantial but not bulky so truly an all-seasons piece; 2) the color palette and "western" theme go perfectly together; and 3) the quality is reasonable (though expected at the price point) with no loose threads, poor stitching, or uneven seams. However, I was very disappointed to find uneven (both in shape, size, and distribution) white spots (mostly at the shoulder seams) among larger patches of darker colors, which look like sloppy execution upon closer inspection. In term of sizing: Note that I upsized for an extra relaxed fit so can't speak to "regular" fit; it does run a bit more cropped and more generous in cut even at a larger size. Read more

This is a really beautiful sweater. One of my first from Pendleton and I'm really impressed with the quality. Pros: - Knit is really beautiful - it's made with really soft yarn, so it's easy to get comfy. You can wear just a tank top under it and it won't get itchy. So soft and comfy - Really nice quality - it's a heavier knit so will keep you comfortable - Collar has a beautiful shape to it - gives the sweater a nice structure - Colors are beautiful - I want to immediately go to Arizona or Montana or somewhere else with beautiful outdoors Cons: - Not necessarily a con but if you wear this without a top on underneath, it's a bit low cut. So I'd recommend planning to wear something under - Again, not necessarily a con but the fit is a bit big. I normally wear and XS or SM, and this I thought ran a bit big (or it's just a baggier fit). This is the nicest cardigan I own. It's so comfy, warm, and SOO soft. I love the cute western scene, and it will go perfectly with some jeans and my cowgirl boots. The lower neckline means you can add in additional color from your shirt to show, and wear a longer necklace with it. The sleeves are long, so you can cuff them if needed or wear them long to keep your hands warm. The fabric is heavy and stitched so well, this cardigan will last forever. Pendleton is such a high quality brand in general, and they live up to their name with this cardigan. I'm 5'7" and 150-155lbs. The medium fits like a glove. I'm so happy with this sweater. It is very high quality; very well constructed and 100% cotton. It is a typical Pendleton double-thick knit used for sweaters with an intarsia scenic design which gives it extra stability. It is quite soft yet firm. The design is so pretty, it reminds me of my travels through the Navajo Nation, visiting Monument Valley, Valley of the Gods, and the wild horses there. So beautiful. I ordered a size Large which is my typical Pendleton women's size. The sweater measures 44" at the bustline measured immediately under the armpits. The sleeves measure 23.25" from the shoulder and 16.25" from the armpit. I've bought 6 Pendleton wool shirts, 3 wool blankets, 1 wool sweater over the years. This sweater is just as nice as the other Pendleton products I own. I think this sweater is a good value at $189 for a superior quality item that can last for decades. Read more
