Toddlers with knives? Sounds scary when I tell people I got these for our toddler. She likes to be in the kitchen with me and gets excited to 'chop' things. The knives are sturdy and not sharp to the touch. I really don't even know how they cut things....but they do. It's been great for developing her fine motor skills and she'll actually eat a ton of veggies if she chops them, which can normally be a challenge at any meal. These plastic knives are great, I can use them to cut homemade caramels, and they don't stick to the candy. I like the bright colors, too. The only issue is that the largest knife blade isn't completely straight, and, since they are molded plastic, there's no way to straighten it. This wouldn't be an issue for everyday cutting of food, but I specifically bought them because of their non-stick properties and their sizes. Read more
