These are truly wonderful, sturdy little plastic baskets, but they are rather difficult to get apart. I had been studying them on the website for quite a while, and already had a plan: I ran cold water over them for several minutes, then I put Mrs. Meyer's dish soap all around the corners, where it's tight, then I inserted my fingers under the long sides. and carefully began to work them apart, one at a time. If you are fond of your fingernails, I recommend wearing gloves, and as you are tugging on the baskets, you should try to aim it all away from your face, because they'll separate with no warning... I was really excited to get these shower caddies for bathroom storage, but right out of the box they were exceptionally difficult to get apart. On top of that they had been spilled on somewhere before being sent to us and were covered in some kind of perfumed soap/shampoo/body wash that we had not ordered. It rinsed off fairly easy, but I think these may have been a return at some point. Regardless of the initial difficulty in set up, these are fantastic for what they were intended for. Read more

But you can't separate the 4 containers from being wedged in their stack. The company should have put something between each container to prevent them from getting stuck to each other. I tried putting the containers in hot water but they still wouldn't pull apart. Not ideal because who wants to heat up plastic and release toxins? Don't buy it. It'll just end up in the garbage, sadly. Read more
