These work well and are great because they are reusable and you can choose or create your coffee filler. The lid closes just fine if you aren't using filter paper which you dont need to with these. Even with the filter u just have to press to close the lid a little harder and make sure it's snug. Very little coffee grains get thru, really barely noticeable without using paper filter. Fit my small keurig k cup single cup maker well. I love purple so they look great to me and fit in my kcup storage drawers - not side by side but they fit fine. Easy insertion and removal from the coffee maker and easy to fill and dispose of grounds as well. I normally rinse in the sink and hand wash because they are so small but I'm sure they could go top rack of dishwasher as well. I use the Keurig when I don't have time to make a a good cup of coffee with the French press or the pour-over option. These cups are prefect for cutting down on waste and expenses, and I get to use my preferred coffee. I do use the paper filters (XMCOSOCS brand; 200 count) if I am using ground coffee from the store, or grind my beans too finely at home... I limit the grounds to two generous teaspoons per cup and I DON'T pack it down, to help water flow through the coffee. But I do try to use more bold/strong coffee in the Keurig because otherwise it tastes weak - that's a Keurig and user issue thing and not an issue with these cups. Easy to clean by hand, but I don't have a dishwasher so I can't speak to that. I bought the six pack but am only using four so I have a couple in reserve. Delighted to find two additional carafe cups included in packaging with coffee measuring device. The measuring device works cleverly, efficiently (perfect measure everytime,) and cut down on the coffee grain “spillage” mess on the counter 100%. I also bought filters for the carafe’s and am abundantly pleased by the quality of the filtered coffee. Also, I use the “used” coffee and filter as mulch in my garden for my plants. A win/win. Perfect fit and easy to clean. Works well with all the types of coffee grounds I have tried. A small amount of fine sediment works through the screen, but I also may be using to fine of coffee grounds.
