Excellent technology, bluetooth app gives full health picture of your battery so no surprises
I just received this unit and the concept is very cool. Currently I live in Georgia and we get a few days below 30 degrees and that's enough to kill a battery that's only a couple years old but more importantly when you really need it like getting to work. I am planning a move to Colorado and obviously a lot more colder days, so this seemed a great product for back-up protection. The capacitor is very light weight, housing is plastic and not so thick as I can actually squeeze it and the housing will flex. Leads are a thick gauge and good quality. I do wish there were better mounting options verses the included velcro maybe mount points you can bolt to the battery terminals. Unit also came with a chrome vanadium wrench that now resides in my tool bag. What's really great is the bluetooth app for your phone. You can see health readings and add a boost to start your car even if your voltage drops down to 6v which is impressive. The unit also has LED indicators for status and an emergency start feature. I believe this will give me visual warnings when my battery is nearing its terminal life span so I won't get caught on the side of the road with a dead battery ever again. There should be these units on every new car. There's a lot to this technology and like being better prepared. It's a little pricey but the peace of mind is great and never being late for work due to a dead battery, or whenever you really need your vehicle to start, priceless. Read more
