Modest and stylish fit for 11 year old
My 11 year old is 4’ 11” and weights around 100-105 lbs. She usually wears Girls 2XL or Ladies small shirts and GIRLS 16 or Ladies XS bottoms. The girls swimsuits just didn’t fit this year, not enough torso length, and off the rack ladies and juniors suits were incredibly inappropriate for her age. The suit is AMAZING. The XS fits her perfectly. The suit completely covers her rear end. The “vintage” cut mimics todays “athletic” cut underwear (…under the butt rather than across it…). She tried several other styles in a small and they were all a bit too big and had to be returned. This was the only suit with this cut that we found in an XS. She absolutely loves it. She said it feels good on and it stays in place. I have never seen her tug on it or have to scoop around the leg openings when wearing it. It’s flattering, yet age appropriate. She has received many compliments on it. The straps are adjustable and she keeps them nearly all the way cinched up, so I expect she’ll be able to wear it next year as well. She’s worn the maroon one a good 25 times (the color is bold and completely her jam) and the white with the red and blue argyle about half that, and there are zero signs of wear on either. The fabric is smooth and a perfect thickness and elasticity. There is a slight variation in fit between her two suits, which is very common with most garments. She can tell the difference when she wears them, but visibly, the fit looks the same and it’s not enough variance to bother her. If you are looking for a modest and stylish/flattering suit, cannot recommend this one enough for either an adult or young adult. Please don’t change the design or fabric quality!! Read more
