The fit is exact! I'm a size 8 to 8.5 because I have a wide foot. I ordered size 8 and there's enough room for a thin or thick sock. I wore the green pair last week at my office. Then wore them all day while out shopping at several stores and my feet were comfortable all day! I have 2 back injuries from my nursing career- One is a ruptured disc with sciatic nerve issues- this means my back, glutea, leg, knee, foot all are affected from that injury. The pain can be extensive so I have to be very careful when choosing shoes. Some shoes can activate my pain even if I haven't done anything physically. These boots did not cause any pain. which is surprising because the heel height is a descent size. I like that these boots give me height as I'm 5' 3.67inches (yes, I'm claiming my .67 inches!) I can use any help being taller! The boots are stable and i don't see/feel any areas of concern so i would say they are definitely worth the value. They have great versatility. In that, I can wear them to the office (like i did last week) & i can wear them while doing everyday errands at home. I actually had 2 females & 1 male give me compliments about the green boots.
