Overall I am completely satisfied with this Zippo I purchased it for my husband's birthday and it took me some time to find the right one or the right person/company to order from I do like the black ice it makes it really stand out engraving is done perfect it was hard for me to decide the font I had seen a previous review and like the way that it was done so I sent a picture in reference to that. I will say communication is quick fast no hassle very friendly. Even ordering sending the information of what I wanted getting a response and it being shipped to me remarkable just in time for his birthday tomorrow just what I wanted . I was so anxious to see it honestly pictures don't do justice it is a fabulous piece. Something for him to have. WOW!!! Is all I can say! I ordered 9 of these lighters for my upcoming wedding as part of the groomsmen gifts I’m putting together. I was a bit nervous with engraving because I was looking for a specific design. Before I placed the order, I emailed the seller to ask about the special design. They assured me that it wouldn’t be a problem. As soon as I placed my order, the seller contact me asking for my order number. I gave them the order number and we narrowed down the design. Again, I was still a bit nervous, but boy was I surprised. I place the order for 9 customs Zippos on Monday. It is Friday (4 DAYS LATER) and I have them all in my hand! And mind you, they came from California and I’m in Georgia. The design came out flawless! I’m super pumped to give these to my groomsmen! Hopefully I can wait until the wedding! The Zippo lighter is top notch quality as well. I have zero complaints and, in fact, showed all my coworkers of the fit and finish. Pros: Excellent quality Zippo lighter made with superior craftsmanship. Quality control is top notch as I found zero flaws on each item. Personalize etching makes each item unique and special. Etching quality is top-of-the-line. Made in the USA Cons: Does not come with fluid--so I ordered a kit consisting of fluid, flint, and wicks. I don’t normally take time to post reviews but this is the exception. Zippo is of course a great lighter but it’s the seller that deserves recconition here, the engraving is impressive, I sent a brief message only stating that I wanted my name engraved on the front and didn’t specify the font. When I opened it I was very impressed with the font the engraver chose. It is a beautiful script that looks amazing and very professionally done. High quality all the way! This product is perfect! The box and presentation of the lighter makes it so easy to just give it as a gift. The lighter itself feels sturdy, like it will last a while, and the engraving is done very nicely. I can't wait to give it my boyfriend! Just make sure you buy some zippo lighter fluid as well since it doesn't come pre filled, but I didn't find that as any sort of hassle. Five stars all the way! Read more
It's not as black as it looks in the picture. It's called "Black Ice" so I thought it would be shiny black, but it's more like dark silver. I think instead of "Black Ice" they should describe it as "Smokey Silver." The angle the advertiser's picture was taken (with the lighting) makes it look black, but it's really not (see my attached picture). I was a little disappointed, but decided to keep it because it still looks cool. It's not your normal silver, it's definitely darker than that, but not black. It works great. It's a Zippo, so the quality is there, and the engraving turned out very cool, but since it wasn't exactly what it looks like in the picture I only gave it four stars. Read more
I ordered one of these as a birthday gift for a good friend of mine. The engraving is sharp, easy to see, and very well done. The lighter itself, though not really black ice, seems to be genuine and well made. To get the engraving done all you need to do is email the provider what you'd like. It does not come filled so you will have to fill it yourself, but the quality of this product is extremely good. 10/10 Read more
