Ok, I admit -- L like stuff in my yard glowing after dark. This actually is kind of a whimsical shape. Its easy to put together and place (assuming your soil isn't rock hard) and it comes in a number of colors. About my only complaint is that it's not as bright as it could be. I'm including pictures of a longer exposure along with standard. From the yard looking to our rose bushes, it can be seen glowing and so far, my kids like it -- it's just not as bright as I thought it would be. I'm guessing that more of these would really help the "theme" stick out. The problem is the price really doesn't justify "more" of these IMO. Your view may vary. Overall, if you have a spot that gets good sun and you want to add a bit of "whimsey" to your yard, these would do it! Read more

This is sure to bring a little sunshine on a cloudy day. I put this solar-powered flower next to the mailbox because there is a small garden surrounding it. For the 1st time in 9 years my mailperson actually waved at me while I was out in the yard, that was a new development since they usually ignore me! It had to be the big goofy flower face that moved around due to the windmill that brought about that surprising behavior. The flower has to be put together; the flower stem and tent peg have to be attached to the ground steak, the windmill tabs have to be realigned on the stem, the leaves attached to the stem and the cover over the solar panel removed, a very easy process. Wish they would have given a choice over which flower one would receive, there is hesitation in ordering another because a duplicate might be sent. As it is, I got a flower that wasn’t pictured, but still happy with the one sent. For that reason I gave the flower 4 stars instead of 5. It is taller than expected but it ensures the petals catch the wind and helps the solar panel. The first rain event the leaves came off because they were held on the stem like artificial flowers. I retrieved them and used a bit of super glue to put them back on the prongs on the stem, so there have been no problems since then. There is an on/off switch at the bottom that can be used to control the sensor. It turns the light on automatically when it begins to darken and turns off when the sun comes up. Overall, it is a sturdy piece, but wonder at the longevity since the inner works are all made of plastic. Guess only time will tell. Hello there, nice to meet you! ;o) When I was a child, I always loved the bobble faces, that usually ended up on the dash of our family car. That said, I stumbled on this super cute bobble head sunflower on Amazon and promptly ordered it on the spot-- as a special birthday present for myself. Needless to say, I'm SO happy to get this fun item-- that appeals to my inner child! The sunflower is nicely made, with a nice medium length stake and a solar panel to help it light up at night. All works as it should too. The listing mentions drone quality plastic, of which I honestly think it might be a little 'less' than that. There are parts where the head attaches to the stake is a bit on the thin side, that may affect its longevity. The petals rotate nicely around the bobble face. Just so you know, the parts are super easy to assemble, and there's three leaves to apply to the provided 'stems' along with putting two parts of the stake together too. The solar panel has connectors on the top and bottom to attach the sunflower head to the upper portion and the rest of the stake to the bottom portion. Yep, it's that simple to put together! Incidentally, there's brief instructions enclosed in the box. ;o) Due to higher than usual winds in our area, I'm making a point of installing it at a part of our property that has gentle breezes year round to help this 'fun' flower survive the elements a bit better. Lastly, the solar panel works beautifully and charges up during the day for a cute flower peeping through the shrubs at night. To say I'm in love with this sunflower is an understatement. With a bit of luck and care, I will be enjoying this 'baby' flower spinner for a few seasons to come! Highly recommended!
