I'm late to the party, as this is my first time buying an article of clothing on Amazon, but this identical Petal & Pup dress is selling at Nordstrom, so I gave it a shot. As another reviewer noted, it's great that you can wear a bra with this dress without it peeking out. At 5"3" and 138 lbs, a size small was the right choice, and I'm able to tighten the straps to make it fall 1.5" shorter (a better place on my legs). I really struggled with whether to give this four or five stars as I think this dress is a bit pricey for what it is. I decided to go with the higher rating because it truly is a great dress. I could live all summer in this dress. It works as a beach cover-up with flip-flops, a casual Saturday dress with sneakers and a t-shirt, or could be paired with heels and jewelry for a wedding. People of all shapes and sizes are going to look great in this dress because it's meant to look like an attractive sack and it does it well. It has pockets. It is heavier weight and nicer quality than what you usually find around these parts, and this weight helps the dress to drape well. Even when you're not wearing the dress, you could ask yourself, "is this outfit consistent with the look and style of The Dress?" and, if the answer is yes, you're good to go out the door with your head held high. One thing I question is whether this dress is truly 100% linen. It feels like it's got a little something-something in there (re: polyester) that helps it drape and prevents it from wrinkling quite as much as linen. However, with no tag in the dress identifying the fiber content, I guess I have to assume what is stated here is true. If you have to avoid synthetic fibers for any reason, probably best to choose something else out of an abundance of caution. Read more
