I recently moved into an apartment with incandescent lights. I crunched some numbers and figured buying LEDs made financial sense due to electricity savings. However, after buying a couple cheap LEDs from Home Depot, I realized I much preferred the rich ambiance created by dimmed incandescent bulbs. These Phillips LEDs have a similar light temperature range to the incandescent bulbs. It's not a perfect recreation of the dimmed incandescent ambiance, but it's good enough. Also, these bulbs never flicker like the cheaper LEDs. It's a welcome quality of life improvement and worth the couple dollar premium. Read more
