I don't often do reviews, but this product deserve one. Love this as I can play my American and English DVDs. The quality is outstanding. I also like that it doesn't take up a lot of space like the old type of DVD players. The price is great, quality of sound is fantastic, and it plays through our Sonos system. This DVD player a big miss. Instructions were completely inadequate. They were just pictures without any words as to which cables were in the picture. If I paused it, it would turn off the player & would need to be restarted. When I would turn on the TV & choose DVD player it would continually say "looking for signal. Is it on?" Worst of all, I have numerous flameless candles on timers in my living room. Every time I would use the DVD remote it would turn candles on. Not all candles just randomly. This is not the player for me. If you have all the time in the world to continually try to make it work, then I guess it's the right one for you. Just so not right for me. Read more

I received the Philips DVD Players for TV a few months ago, and it has been operating as good as advertised. I usually like to let some time pass before I pass judgement on a device and its vendor, and I followed suit in this case. Good news is, neither the product nor the vendor disappointed. The DVD/CD player was delivered in quick fashion, and upon opening the box, everything was new, and in proper working order.
