Came back from Iceland in Sep 2024 and fell in love with the fully automatic coffee makers in the hotels there. My traditional drip coffee maker just couldn't cut it anymore. Did a lot of research on many models in a wide range of price points. The Phillips models kept coming up well reviewed. I wanted one with an integrated water filtration system to help improve the taste. I found the 4300 Latte GO as a refurbished unit here sold by Seattle Coffee Gear for about $450. It was almost half the original price. It was shipped in decent packaging and came with a 60 day return guarantee. There were no damages or blemishes. I was able to see from the counter in the device settings that the previous owner had only made about 20 drinks before returning it. I would definitely buy from Seattle Coffee Gear again. Setup was easy. The machine guides you through the steps from the touchscreen. "Fully automatic" is no joke. The screen tells you everything. It is easy to operate and has profiles for up to three differnet users to store the recipes as you tweak the settings on each type of drink to suit individual tastes. I like the Cafe Creama option as my daily go to. Not as stong as espresso, but has a lot more flavor than the Americano. The generic "Coffee" setting is not good. It makes a watery, bland cup of coffee. As others have pointed out on this same subject, this is an espresso maker, not a drip coffee maker. The Latte GO frother works amazing. It's ridiculously simple and does the job perfectly. Just keep the cup clean so that milk doesn't dry and clog the thin channels that make the froth. I don't use this as much as I originally though I would, but I still think it's a nice accessory. I bought clear glass coffee cups from IKEA because the coffee looks so good in them. In my research I saw many comments about the devices "leaking" water. I have not experienced anything like this. The drip tray is ample sized and does collect water faster than I was initially expecting. This is because the device cleans itself at startup but also cleans between drinks, which I did not realize. The device will remind you to periodically empty the grounds container and drip tray. After almost three months of use, I just did my first full cleaning cycle. The device guides you through the process. Piece of cake. I also read negative comments about noise level. I am indifferent on this. It does make noise, but it's also grinding beans and pumping water. Yes, it's noisier than a drip coffee maker but I don't find it excessively noisy. Read more

I received my order VERY well packaged. I don't think I’ve ever had a package so well protected. It was easy to put together and figure out. I did notice the water receptacle was broken, a small chunk was broken off of a corner. I reached out to the seller and they immediately offered a refund or to exchange the machine. I told them I really just wanted a new receptacle and they sent it right out. I asked about the water testing strips that usually come with a new machine and they said they didn’t include them usually but due to the inconvenience with the water receptacle, they issued a $10 refund so I could purchase the strips myself. Great service and I would definitely buy from them again. As far as the espresso maker itself, it works great, makes great coffees approved by my Starbucks loving teenage daughters. The milk receptacle is amazing, it automatically steams and foams the correct amount based on the drink you selected, and puts the milk in your cup for you. Best of all the milk system is super easy to clean and that was a fear I had not wanting spoiled milk in my machine or a complicated cleaning process. This is a great machine. Read more

I decided to gift myself this coffee/espresso machine for Christmas, since a Jura is way out of my budget! At the office, we have a Jura Giga 6 ($6,000!) - an absolute beast that makes better coffee than most gourmet places. I’ve even been known to swing by the office on weekends, just for a cup, because my old-school coffee maker at home wasn’t cutting it anymore. So, I started shopping for something that, while not identical to the Jura, could come close within reason. After a lot of back and forth with ChatGPT and reading tons of reviews, I kept coming back to this Philips model. I finally thought, “You know what? What the heck!” and bought it. First off, this machine is not terrible at all, not even as a refurbished unit (if that’s what you’re considering). Sure, there are a few minor quirks that could be improved, but overall, it’s a solid machine. On a scale from 1 to 10, where 10 is Jura quality, I’d say this sits around a 6 or 7, which is great for the price. I unboxed it on December 24, 2025, and used it daily until January 6, and now mostly on weekends. As others have mentioned, the first few cups didn’t taste great. But here's the thing, I actually read the big red “READ FIRST” card that came in the box, not sure if other reviewers received one or simply ignored it. It advises you to brew and discard several drinks before consuming one. While it doesn’t specify how many, I made and tossed about five cups before tasting my first espresso. It was still a bit off and watery. So I brewed (and discarded) three more. After that, the flavor steadily improved. Eventually, I also switched to using Illy beans, the same ones we use at the office, and the difference was night and day. Illy is pricey (about $16 for an 8.8oz can), but since it’s just me and my teen son using the machine on weekends, it lasts a while and feels worth it. Now, a few quirks: Water Reservoir: Yes, you’ll need to refill it often, especially if you drink a lot of coffee or have a big household. That said, I personally prefer not to leave water sitting in the tank anyway, to avoid mold or mildew, so frequent refills don’t bother me. Auto Rinse Cycles: The machine does a rinse when you power it on and another shortly after making a drink, or when it powers off (if you've set a timer). This uses up a fair amount of water, so keep that in mind. Noise Level: It’s loud. Not obnoxiously so, but definitely louder than the Jura. If you live in a small space or are trying to make coffee early while others are sleeping, fair warning: it might wake someone up. Milk Spout Design: I find the milk spout a bit awkward. It’s positioned quite high and isn't adjustable, so if you’re not using a wide-mouthed cup, you’ll likely need to shift it around to avoid splashing. The coffee spout is adjustable, which is great when switching between small espresso cups and full mugs. Milk Container: I wish the milk container had a sealing lid so that you could store leftovers in the fridge. Instead, you need to pour any remaining milk back into the carton, use it immediately, or toss it. Not a dealbreaker, but it would’ve been a nice feature. Aside from those minor annoyances, I’m genuinely happy with this machine. After breaking it in and switching beans, the coffee is consistently delicious. Temperature is great, crema/froth is good, and the settings are user-friendly. If you're coming from a high-end machine like a Jura, you'll notice the difference, but if you manage your expectations and give the machine time to break in, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I just hope it lasts a few years, because I’d rather not spend this kind of money again anytime soon! Read more

We are highly satisfied with the machine so far. We have only had it a few weeks. I really enjoy the variety of drinks that it makes. It is easy to use and comes ready to go. So far, we are very satisfied with everything. I also enjoy the milk attachment which you can easily detach and store in the refrigerator between uses. The coffee temperature is hotter than other products that I have used. Adding the creamer/milk hot also adds to the temperature. The ability to make individual cups of fresh coffee is also an important feature that we appreciate. My wife enjoys a combination of coffee and creama, and I enjoy that drinks with frothed creamer.
