Surprisingly this thing takes body hair down like my high dollar foil shaver for my face at 1/3 of the cost. It gets it much smoother than you would imagine, especially for the price but better yet, it won’t bog down, snag, or leave any razor burn. Zero skin irritation and very smooth. Specifically bought this for back shaving (comes with arm/extension) due to most other options being a razor type which sounds like a bad idea (it is…very) or an overpriced plastic arm with a garbage foil shaver melted to it (these $100 back foil shavers are garbage and not up to par with even phillips cheapest options. You’re better off taping a Phillips One-blade to a stick for back grooming… and yes it actually works well if you’re very patient haha). The arm does feel like it could be sturdier but it’s nothing that feels like it will break during normal intended use, still blown away over the foil of the shaver itself though. I've used multiple brands of electric trimmers made to reach your back. This one is by far the most comfortable to use. So far, it gives a very good trim and it's EZ to clean and maintain. Just pop of the head and rinse it out. I also recommend the occasional dipping the head into a bowl of soapy water (I just use liquid hand soap or dish soap) while it's running for about 30 seconds. Cleans it out very nicely. Others that I've used for my back were sometimes uncomfortable or even cut me (electric razors/trimmers shouldn't do that), but this one has been comfortable every time and leaves my back (or any other part I want to remove unwanted hair from) smooth. It feels well balanced. I've had it for about 6 wks now and it still running great and feels like it will last - time will tell. Battery life is great so far. No complaints. My biggest concern before purchase was how well the handle extender would hold onto the trimmer (e.g. would it fall out while in use), but that hasn't been an issue and the way it feels I doubt it ever will be. UPDATE: I did a full body groom from chest to toes (excluding privates) and it took 30 minutes. The results were faster than some of my off-brand body groomers and the look is cleaner. I have some protruding veins in my forearms that may have led to a half dozen or so missed hairs. I touched it up and hit them from various angles to ensure they were cut. I still believe Norelco to be the number one (1) body groomer manufacturer. The REVIEW: I will do a full body groom with it next week. My initial test was only on the long (1" or more) hairs on my unruly posterior. I am a moderately hairy or more male with fine hair on the head that is very dark brown in color. It trimmed this hair easily without needing many passes over the same area. It left my posterior nearly as smooth as a baby's bottom and since I am not a youngster that is a great thing. I am looking forward to giving it the full test on the full body next week. I will update this review soon afterwards. For my money Norelco has always produced the BEST body groomers and multi-purpose groomers. But for the body I prefer their "body groomer" specific models. Bought this to replace an older model who's battery was no longer holding charge and dying mid cut. (ouch). Charges in an hour instead of 8! Waterproof and easy to clean. This upgrade has been good to me. Using it on my bro parts, the trimmer and guards do a fantastic job. Start dry to weedwack then fade hair in shower. Issue for me is i feel the smallest guard leaves me too long and bare trimmer too short. Pull hair and go around ballpen, directly on skin not recommend. Read more

FUTURE EDIT: Not great for the downstairs area but it still works. The leg trim had me hopeful, but if your downstairs hair is any longer or thicker than your leg hair, you will have issues. Got nicked once and you really need to cut most of it with scissors before this trimmer starts doing anything. When trying to use the length guards, nothing gets cut. I've discovered that this product works on dry hair wayyy better than wet hair, so if you try to wet your hair to reduce friction it'll be a skidding slip n slide that is completely ineffective. Original Review: Was cautious to order this but was pleasantly surprised! I shaved just one of my legs to test and compare. I hadn't shaved my legs in around a year, for reference. I have thick blond leg hair and wasn't expecting the razor to work right away, without any pre-trimming or length guards. Amazing! No nicks or tugging on the hair. Cut through with ease. Definitely not a close razor shave but, will help you get there faster by getting the bulk off, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Read more
