This was $29 after a $10 coupon I found on the site. For the money, it's the best thirty bucks I've spent in a long time. My teeth feel much cleaner, the buildup is completely gone and it's smooth as if I just went in for a cleaning. The unit itself is pretty big and the head does not pop off easy, so having multiple heads for each person in your house is optimistic at best (for the price, you can buy a unit for each person). The charger base is small and works well. I only have a few complaints: I wish there was a compact design. I charge this thing every minute except the 4 I'm using it, why does the battery need to be so big? I also wish the base would accommodate one more unit (not charging, just hold it). That way I could buy just another base and switch out when it needs to be charged. Also, a quick release top shouldn't be a "feature" of a higher priced model. Lastly, I should be able to switch out the brush at will, not the entire top. There's no way I should have to pay $10 per brush when only the tip has worn out. It's all still worth it. I'm buying another one for the wife and just setting it on the counter. Clean teeth are worth the costs. Read more

I purchased this to replace my original Sonicare brush that died after ~10 years of service. Over the 10 years the battery life degraded to the point that it would only hold a charge for about 3 days, but up until it died it was a great brush, working dependably. The brush does a great job at getting my teeth clean, as you would expect. The travel case is a decent little case to help keep your brush and head together while you are on the go. I hope I can depend on this for another 10 years, but would be happy if I just got 5 years of use. Pros: - at the end of brushing your teeth it vibrates funny to let you know the battery is running low. You still have multiple uses before you need to charge from that point - case is nice to keep everything together - charging base is small and easy to store out of the way cons: - Charging base (while I like how small it is) has a terrible design for the cable management. The cable can not be nicely stored under the base becasue of how the cable comes out of the base. Hard to explain, but its a bad design. Luckily, its not a huge deal, and not worth taking a star off. I made the decision to buy a Sonicare toothbrush this summer, when my dentist told me I have about a dozen near-cavities. I'm trying to be a little more proactive now. This toothbrush seems to make my mouth cleaner. I don't have the hardened plaque behind my lower front teeth that I normally do by now. Also, it feels good on your teeth. It has a two-minute timer that forces me to brush for that long; I used to brush for maybe 30 seconds (thus the cavities). There are two downsides. First, the replacement brush heads are not cheap, even the off-brand ones. But I think your teeth are an investment worth shelling out a bit of dough for (consider how much you already pay for the dentist to "fix" the little problems you have every six months!). The second downside is, the inside gets gunky after about a week or two. I've read that if you don't keep up with it, it can permanently ruin the toothbrush. But I clean my ears with Q-tips, so I use those to clean it at least every two weeks. That seems to work fine, and I saved like $50 over the more expensive Sonicare. However, I think next time I buy a toothbrush I will buy one that you don't have to clean so often. This one seems durable enough that I won't be buying one for a few years, though. All in all, a good purchase. I'm gonna get tired of cleaning the inside, though. So four stars. Read more
