TDK FE90 Blast from the past! Solid fit, retro vibe. Good Case.
This case fits my Galaxy A55 5G perfectly. It’s slim and lightweight, which I like, but it’s a bit slippery in the hand. The cassette tape design on the back is well done—rougher texture than the rest of the case, and the print quality is solid. It actually looks like a real tape, down to the reels and labeling. I’ve already had people comment on it. The case buttons are functional but not ideal. They work fine, but they barely protrude, so you have to hunt for them by feel. My previous case had metal inserts that made the buttons more tactile—this one’s a downgrade in that area. Curious to see how the PU material holds up over time. Most clear or semi-clear cases tend to yellow after a few months, so I’ll be watching for that. If you grew up in the '80s or early '90s, the cassette design will hit you with nostalgia. Back then, tapes were the worst format for music—low fidelity, prone to stretching, and they degraded fast. But they let us record songs off the radio and make mixtapes, which was a big deal. This case captures that vibe without the hassle. Overall: solid case, good print, minor button flaw. Worth it for the look alone. And I do remember these TDK FE90 tapes! Unmistakable lime green stripe, wrapped in red foil and minor blue accents. Nice homage to a legend... Read more
