When I saw 'spray' I kind of assumed it would be the jet-style, but it's just a regular sprayer. I'm not sure having the regular sprayer on it provides any advantage, since for me the spray was too indirect to use right on the piercing and spraying a cotton ball feels like you can just do it without a sprayer. It's an alright formula, but if you need a pure saline, this is not what you're looking for. This has tea tree oil in it, which you should avoid if you have an allergy. If you have no allergy to it, though, this is a pretty nice spray that does seem to help discourage bacteria growth, with an almost undetectable but still pleasant scent. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I have two sets of diamond earrings that I wear together in my double ear piercings. These are the only two earrings that I wear nowadays. One is a diamond stud earring, and the other a diamond stud with a diamond halo. Because I've lost a few diamond stud earrings over the years, I was afraid that I might lose the bigger diamond earring and had them reset on a screw post with screw backs. That made the post diameter thicker and if I haven't worn them in a while, my first hole that I wear them in, tends to get tight which causes me to have to force the post through the hold that first time. That causes irritation inside the hole which has caused an infection before. To prevent infection, I would use a regular rubbing-alcohol type of spray. I would also use the same alcohol spray to "wash" my earrings of any makeup dust that got on them on days that I wore makeup. The alcohol spray is very drying to my earlobe skin. One day, my daughter saw the condition of my earlobe after I took out my diamonds to clean them and she was not happy with the condition of my earlobes. The skin was very dry and scaly. She was the one who convinced me to give up the alcohol spray and use a saline spray. Because she has a sensitivity to certain metals in earrings, she will routinely clean her piercings with a saline spray and gave me the link to the one she uses. I was willing to try the saline spray but I sure hated to pay the price of that particular saline spray she used. I saw this Saline Spray for Piercings, Piercing Aftercare Spray, and I didn't mind spending under $10 to give it a try. It was very easy to use, no special instructions reqired. I continued to use the spray just as I had used the alcohol spray. One thing I noticed is that my earlobes were soft and supple after a short while and no longer looked and felt like an alligator hide. That I liked very much One thing that I don't love about this spray is that instead of being a concentrated stream of saline spray, it sprays outward. I tried to take a video of how it sprays. I feel like for that price point for just 2-ounces, a lot of the saline spray is being wasted versus directed exactly at the piercing. If I'm going to pay $5/ounce, I want to conserve as much of the contents in that plastic bottle for as long as I can. Unless the spray nozzle is changed to better conserve the saline liquid, I can't say that it's a great value for the cost. I think that could be a relatively easy fix. Some bottles of liquid I've seen in my time, have 2 settings - one that sprays a more streamlined approach and another setting that sprays a wide spray (if that makes sense) I think this saline spray is effective in preventing any infection in my piercings and also effective in keeping my skin soft and supple versus alligator-like. It is also effective in keeping my diamonds nice and sparkly on those days that I wear makeup. I just don't see the longevity of the saline liquid inside lasting for very long and that's a shame because it is such a great product. I say if you can afford it, get it. You won't be disappointed.
