I am a 5' woman with small hands and small nails so YMMV. I bought these for use when out and about, for those hangnail and chipping nail days, they are excellent. I wish the catcher case thing attached had a keyring hole so i could hang them from my keys, I don't think it would have affected the ability to catch nails much unless it were used without a ring (I had to remove the catcher to hang them on a keychain). In this case I would create a hole running through it and provide one of those ball chains to run through it and voila, no spilled nail clippings. They cut well and don't chip or bend my nails.
