This jacket seriously impressed me and easily holds its own against some of the bigger brands. I compared it side-by-side with a Helly Hansen jacket, and the style and overall look were nearly identical. What really sold me on the Pioneer Camp (besides the price) were the details — the outer pockets are fleece-lined and zippered, which keeps your hands warm and your phone and keys secure. The Helly Hansen version only had button closures and no fleece lining. It’s also noticeably lighter and less bulky, which gives it a cleaner, more athletic fit without sacrificing warmth. I wore it in 3° NYC weather with strong wind, and the cold never cut through. Honestly, I probably could’ve worn just a T-shirt underneath and still been comfortable. The adjustable hood is another great feature — easy to keep loose on mild days or cinch down tight when it’s windy to protect your head, ears, and face. The mid-thigh length adds extra coverage and warmth too. Sizing-wise, the medium was slightly roomy for me, but I personally prefer a slimmer fit. If you like a more tailored look, you might consider sizing down. Overall, this feels like premium quality at a fraction of the price. Definitely recommend. Read more
This is the best cold-weather coat I've ever owned. I've had other brands, including Eddie Bauer, Columbia, and even Arcteryx, for style and fit, this coat is unexcelled. I'm 6'5", 245 pounds, and in shape, and the XL fits me perfectly. Very warm in cold weather (like New England)! Does not feel bulky and heavy. The double zipper is very handy for sitting and driving. The green and dark grey colors are very rich-looking, not washed out. Pockets are lined and very warm. Read more
Beautiful coat - perfect fit for my brother! He says that the coat is really comfortable and not cumbersome. He claims that this is the warmest coat that he has ever owned! "Thanks Sis! I've been wearing it every day in these harsh frigid temperatures we've been having this winter in Cleveland! No chance of frostbite with my new coat!" Read more
The puffer coat arrived neatly packed in a branded zippered bag made of non-woven fabric, which was a nice touch. The fit is generally good, but it feels a bit tight in the chest when worn over a hoodie. The outer pockets are deep, warm, and very practical. A few suggestions for the manufacturer: Consider making the hood removable. • The top snap button sits at face level and, when fully fastened, touches the face. Since it's metal and not covered with fabric, it feels cold against the skin. Adding more inner pockets would be very helpful. One pocket on the left is not enough. It would be great to have a matching one on the right, plus additional lower inner pockets on both sides that are deeper, almost reaching the bottom. Overall, this is a good coat for me and I would rate it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Read more

Well made and warm! I’ve worn this wirh just a long sleeve T-shirt at 35 degrees and it was toasty. With layers I’m sure it’s good at zero. It’s a little heavy but for the cost is a very good coat. Read more
