I can honestly say that switching from traditional tampons to menstrual discs has always been something I’ve wanted to try, but I was seriously intimidated by the idea of inserting a disc. The thought of trying to get the positioning right without making a mess or feeling uncomfortable had me hesitant for a while. But then I discovered the **Menstrual Disc Applicator**, and WOW, this product completely changed the game for me! First off, I have to admit I was a little nervous to even try it. I’ve always used tampons, and the idea of switching to a disc felt a bit... overwhelming. But as soon as I used the applicator, all those fears melted away. It’s SO easy to use, and it made the whole insertion process feel just like using a tampon. No awkward maneuvering, no mess, and absolutely no stress. The applicator is designed to help you insert the menstrual disc comfortably and securely. It guides the disc into place exactly where it needs to be, and I was able to do it in one smooth, quick motion. It’s super intuitive, even for someone who’s never used a disc before! The feeling of the disc once it’s in place is also surprisingly comfortable. I barely felt it, which is such a relief. The applicator helps with that perfect fit that I was worried I wouldn't get on my own. I could go about my day without even thinking about it, which was a huge plus. What I love most about this product is the *confidence* it gives me. I no longer have to worry about insertion techniques or dealing with leaks, and I can enjoy all the benefits of the menstrual disc without the stress. It’s honestly been a game changer for me, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who's been hesitant to make the switch from tampons or pads. If you’ve been curious about menstrual discs but were worried about the insertion process—this applicator is exactly what you need to make that transition smooth and easy. I’m officially a convert, and I’m so glad I gave it a try! I seriously cannot wait to try more of Pixie’s products! --- (PS - if you haven’t already, I would also highly recommend this company’s TENS unit for menstrual cramps!) Read more
I have never been able to wear tampons. I would pass out attempting to insert them...😂. So I been a pad-only girl for years. Even after getting married (which is when I thought I could maybe handle the tampon thing), but it just never happened. Now that I've given birth to three babies, I'm a little more willing to try something new. Periods with reusable pads are a bloody mess and these kids got questions I just ain't ready to fully answer yet, but I can understand why they want to know why it looks like a murder scene in the toilet with bloody pads draining into the diaper pail (which leads to the toilet). So I tried the Pixie cup and ultimately decided it wasn't for me because I could still feel it in there and I couldn't NOT think about it. The disc seemed very intimidating because of how high up it gets inserted. I tried it anyway, but since I don't love getting all up in my business like that, I could never get it 100% right. I have no desire to feel my cervix and I couldn't get it back far enough on my own. Tucking the disc behind the pubic bone was my limit, but the disc would ultimately turn sideways on me after a couple of hours. I was beginning to give up hope when the applicator was introduced! It makes sense for tampon users 😂 and probably feels intuitive to some people. It's not that hard to use and lube definitely helps. Once you get the angle of insertion correct, it's basically done! This tool has accomplished for me what I could not do on my own, and I'm so grateful for it! It's day one of my cycle and I can't feel the disc at all and I'm not leaking...well, maybe from my eyes a bit because I'm so happy that the applicator helped me figure this out after trying and failing for many cycles. It works great! Read more
I will preface by saying I purchased this primarily for the applicator. The applicator was what I was excited about, however I found it very difficult to use and a bit uncomfortable. Pushing it with the cup inside was difficult and it didn’t always lead to proper placement so I would have to fix the position by hand. The cups themselves are okay. I liked the concept of a string but it is a bit noticeable once the cup is inserted. It didn’t hurt nor was it uncomfortable, but you know there’s a string. Overall, this wasn’t a bad experience but a learning one. It didn’t work for me, but I hope it works for other women who love using cups. It’s a great concept! Read more
I know this is listed as a menstrual cup product but it helps me so much with my Nuvaring! I have a high tilted cervix so manual insertion can be pretty uncomfortable. This made the process less than a minute and super easy. I love that it doubles as a carry case too! Read more
