My spouse's measurements were at the upper edge of a size large, and they've been wearing XL shirts this past year, so I ordered up a size. I should have trusted the chart and stayed with the large. This shirt is a little too big. Even after washing and drying, it hasn't shrunk any noticeable amount -- which is both good news (good quality) and bad news (still too big). The shirt is well made, with good stitching, and it flows nicely. It looks great in person, being able to pass for dressy-casual as well as just beach-casual, although to get that impressive crisp look, I recommend ironing it. I am actually currently wearing this button down to work today. It is super soft and the color looks great. I will say the buttons towards the neck are not the ideal length. What I mean is that if you want to button the top one it kinda hangs too low but if you button the top one up, it’s kinda too high. Hope that makes sense. The color is really nice and it’s sort of like an off gray green color which goes with anything. It is a little bit longer so you do have to tuck it in but it’s super soft and isn’t cheap material. It is lightweight so I definitely recommend wearing it during the spring months, but in the winter months with the sportcoat, you can get away with it. I have not washed it yet so I’m not sure how it holds up in the wash, but I’m sure it will be fine. Read more
