I purchased so many 32/28 trousers - jean or casual or what not as I was planning to hop on a plane and looking for a smooth, soft, casual trouser that can keep me warm inside the plane and relatively covered as the plane would be passing through different weather radars. I bought 31/28 being a short/mid-size man and it perfectly fits though I normally wear all levis ones 32/28. This is so cool, soft, expandable, and sits on your skin as snug as i'd have dreamt of. Front two pockets and the two backpockets are perfect to slide any stuff like wallets, boarding pass, tickets or bills or anything soft....I was dicey when I ordered and looked at the review pictures by actual customers who were not in good shape. If you've a big paunch, belly or fat person or are not in good shape (like a gym boy), then this will look like a joke on you. I'm a sports guy and hit the gym regularly (even my flat tummy looks bulged in this outfit. It means that you got to have a realy good shape to adore this pant on you. It's very skinny, soft, smooth, and comfy (like Pyjamas in the bed). If you pass those physical attributes, then this is the BEST trouser to go for. I'm a fit 62yr old man and except for technical pants for hiking I'm usually wearing some type of jeans. I bought these for a vacation in Europe and they worked out perfect. The plaid options have much more spandex and stretch than the solid colors from the same line. They are comfortable sitting for a long time on a plane because of the stretch but hang nicely while walking without clinging to your legs like ladies leggings. If you are a solid color or jeans guy, give these plaid slacks a try. I bought two different colors and patterns and they go with all the shirts and two pairs of shoes I brought on my trip. As a bonus they roll up to a package that's smaller than a footlong from the subway shop. The ONLY reason that I didn't give these 5 stars is that I wish that the pockets were a little bit deeper to hold today's average smart phone more securely. The rear pockets are only about 80% of the depth of typical American jeans rear pockets. For you older guys like me who are usually every day jeans wearers, give these plaid pants a try. I'm getting a couple of more patterns and am going to try to mix them into the rotation when I'm going to different casual events or to a club.
