THIS WORKS
I recall in the mid-70's the shop I worked at used a powdered plastic material and solvent to repair broken TV and radio cabinets. Back then the solvent may have been toluene, but now it's a kind of stinky methacrylate compound. Either way, this material kit works on most hard plastic chemistry types. Polyethylene requires a different kit, but Plastex offers this as well. So far I have only used the clear. It would be nice if they offered a range of tints to allow for color matching, but at least there is some hope for repairing plastic items in hope of restoring use. I particularly like the ability to restore broken screw mountings. Super easy to use. Fast drying. Read more
